Take My Hand And Don't Look Back

Gerard's POV
I'm excited and scared as hell to meet Frank's mom. First time meeting her, and it's as her future son-in-law; not awkward at all!
"Seriously, Gee, you need to chill out. My mom will absolutely love you!"
Frank's doing my tie for me, and occasionally will place a soft kiss on the tip of my nose for comforting purposes.
"Are you sure? W-what if I say something dumb? O-o-or if I make a fool of myself? I can't take back a first meeting!"
He sighs, and holds my face in his hands. His eyes search mine, as if he's trying to find buried treasure.
"Don't worry. Even if she doesn't like you, which I know won't happen, I'll still love you, and we'll still get married. You need to calm. Down."
I sigh, and smile unsurely. Frank smiles back, and kisses me playfully. I giggle, and we head back upstairs to to to his house.
"Frank is that you?"
From the kitchen emerges a beautiful women who's age appears to be slightly younger than my mom's. She looks almost exactly like Frank; beautiful hazel eyes, black hair (but longer), and genetically thin.
"Oh, and look at you! Gerard, I'm Linda, and it's an honor to meet you finally!"
Before I know it, I'm embraced in a tight hug. She smells like lavender, and everything feels very homey.
"It's nice to meet you too, Ms. Iero"
I smile in the embrace, when suddenly it's broken by her scrambling towards the kitchen.
"Please, do come sit down! Salad is for dinner, since I'm terrible at making those fancy vegetarian foods..."
I chuckle at her remark, and say that it's fine with me. Frank plops down next to me, and Linda sits directly across from the both of us.
"Please, help yourselves!"
We all serve ourselves, and start up meaningful banter consisting of how we met, the wedding, and basically everything about me and Frank's relationship.
After dinner and a long time of talking, it was around 8:45 PM.
"Linda I hate to cut the fun short, but it's getting late, and I have school tomorrow. I had a lovely time, though! Thank you so much for everything."
She smiles, and pulls me, once again, into a hug. She whispers just loud enough for me to hear, saying
"Thank you, Gerard, for making my Frankie happy again."
She pulls away, and I can see tears are threatening to break free. I give her a slight nod, and a smile, saying 'it's my pleasure'.
We say another goodbye, and Frank leads me outside to take me home.
