No Coffee For Gee ~ Discontinued!

Three pairs of scared eyes looked expectantly at the doctor as he turned a professional gaze their way. Frankie stood from his spot on the floor and went to his mother's side, taking her hand in his smaller, shaking one, as the two women stood to face the tall, dark skinned man "Hello ladies, Frank.." They nodded their greeting in reply, but remained silent ".. So.. I have some good news for you.." He smiled, and Frankie was pretty sure he would pass out if Dr. Phillips didn't get to the Goddamn point already ".. As you know, today we were attempting to take Gerard off of the ventilator, with the hope that he would be able to breath on his own.." He looked around their nervous faces. Why the FUCK was he stalling?! ".. It worked!"
"YES!.." Frankie yelled out, gaining a scowl from the doctor, and a sharp "Frank!" From his mum ".. Sorry" He smiled sheepishly.
"As I was saying.." The doctor continued, staring at Frankie accusingly for a moment before turning back to look at Donna ".. He IS now breathing, but he hasn't woken up yet. A coma of this length can often take several days to recover consciousness from, so try not to worry too much. We will be monitoring his vitals regularly, and we are VERY hopeful that we'll see signs of consciousness within the next day or so"
"Ohthankgod!" Donna breathed, leaning against Linda and crying happy tears into her shoulder.
"Can we see him now?" Frankie asked, wide eyes desperately searching for a "YES!" Dr. Phillips nodded and stepped to the right, opening the door with one hand and ushering them in with the other.
"Thank you Dr. Phillips" Linda shook the man's hand as Frankie and Donna both rushed to Gerard's bedside, then joined them as the doctor went to talk to a nurse.
Frankie took Gerard's pale, cold, still hand in his. He was WAY past denying his feelings now, and he didn't care who knew about them "Gee?.. Can you hear me?.. Ya gotta come back to us, ya hear?.. We need you!... I.. I n..need you!" Tears slid down his cheek again. Frankie hated to cry, especially in front of his mum. He was the man of the house since his dad died, and thought he should be strong.. Today he was just a scared little boy, who could really do with a hug from his mum. Luckily, Linda understood this without being told, and gently wrapped her arms around her small son's trembling shoulders.
Frankie stiffened for a moment, then broke down into tears in his mother's comforting arms "Oh muma!.. He's.. He's gonna wake up.. Right?.." Linda nodded against the top of his head ".. When muma?.. I want him back!"
"Oh sweetie I KNOW you do.." She hushed him softly as she held him tight ".. Soon baby, soon.." She looked over at Donna, sat the other side of the bed, holding Gerard's hand and silently staring at his pale, thin face ".. You ok D?"
Donna looked up with glassy eyes, and a small smile tugging at her lips as she murmured "My baby's coming back!"...
Notes
Hi there chipmunks.. How you all doing?
I actually have a good excuse for disappearing for the last week.. I was in hospital.. WITH NO INTERNET!!!... It was torture!.. That and the 6 operations, and only being allowed to eat jello, and well.. I was on the brink of madness, and have now, FINALLY come home, and have about a thousand updates to read!!.. But I didn't waste my time in there.. I wrote several chapters, and even began a new fic, so now I'm back, from outer space.. (sorry!) and really excited to get back to this.
Please comment, stay safe, and peace out babies!
