No Coffee For Gee ~ Discontinued!
1
"Gee.. Wakey wakey honey.." His mother gently shook his shoulder and chuckled as the sleepy boy groaned and attempted to bury himself further under his mound of blankets ".. First day of high school.." She reminded him ".. I made you pancakes.." Gee's bright, wide hazel eyes fluttered open as he stuck his head out of the covers, a grin spreading on his lips ".. There you are.." Donna cheered, softly ruffling her son's messy black hair ".. Come on, get up" Then she was out the door, leaving Gee to crawl out of his nest, yawning wide as he tripped over his jeans, abandoned on the floor last night.
Stumbling to his wardrobe, Gee pulled out his Green Day hoodie, and a t-shirt with a pumpkin on the front, his favourite one, that his best friend, Frankie had given him, and quickly got dressed, dragging on his skinny jeans and pulling a comb through his unruly hair, before leaving his room and heading down for breakfast.
Reaching the kitchen, Gee paused for a second in the doorway, as he saw his little brother, Mikey, sat at the table, eating a large stack of chocolate chip pancakes.
Gee swallowed down his nerves and moved across the room to his seat, smiling at his mother as she placed a plate in front of him, piled high with blueberry pancakes, his personal favourites.
As the boys ate in a slightly tense silence, Gee made himself remember the fact that school would be better now, cos he no longer had to put up with Mikey's taunts and punches, so he could relax and enjoy break times, instead of having to CONSTANTLY look over his shoulder all the time.
Donna sat down between the boys with a large mug of coffee in her hands "Are you looking forward to school today?" She asked, before taking a small sip of her drink.
Gee looked up, blueberry juice dribbling in a thin line down his chin. He swallowed down his mouthful and grinned "Yes mumma, very much"
"Suck-up" Mikey muttered, sourly.
Gee dropped his head and went back to eating, but Donna didn't let it pass "Michael.." She scolded ".. Be nice"
Mikey dropped his folk onto his plate "I've finished. Can I go now?" His tone, harsh and cold.
Donna sighed and waved him away. She couldn't understand how her two boys had turned out so differently. Gee was still her sweet, shy, sensitive little angel.. and Mikey had become a mean, nasty little bully, that wouldn't listen, and insisted on tormenting his poor brother, every chance he got.
Why was he like that?.. Had she not treated them both with the same love and affection their whole lives?.. And it didn't have anything to do with their father leaving them three years ago, to go play happy families with some little tart down in Florida, cos Mikey had been like this ever since that whole cookie incident, when he was just 6, and actually, little Frankie had insinuated that it had been going on even before that.. so she just didn't know.
Gee was finishing his breakfast now, the 14 year old shyly hiding behind his hair, like he always did after Mikey spoke like that to him "Don't let him get to you sweetie.." Donna murmured, tucking his hair behind his right ear so she could see his face ".. You've got a year of school without him there, before he moves up.." Gee looked up with loving eyes, and Donna pulled him in for a small hug ".. It's gonna be ok" She murmured against his hair, as he relaxed into her embrace.
"Fucking fag" Mikey spat out from the doorway.
"Michael James Way!.." Donna practically growled at him. He KNEW he was in trouble if she used his full name ".. I will NOT have that kind of language spoken in this house.. Now apologise to your brother"
Mikey snorted out a laugh and turned to leave the room "Fag's not my brother" Then he left, with Donna screaming at his back as he slammed out the front door.
Donna sighed and turned her attention back to Gee, who was shaking slightly in her arms "Gee, sweetie?.. You ok?"
Gee took a deep breath and lifted his head from her shoulder. His eyes were a little red, and his face looked paler than normal, but he wasn't crying, so THAT was good "I'm fine mumma.." He sniffed, looking down as he shuffled back to sit in his own seat ".. I'm used to it"
Donna frowned and took his hand in hers "You shouldn't have to be.." She tried to meet his eye ".. It's not right"
Gee was about to say something, when the doorbell rang.
A grin spread over his lips as he jumped to his feet "Frankie!.." He cheered, running to open the door.
Donna chuckled. Those two were closer than ever these days, and she was actually surprised that they weren't dating yet.
She and Linda, Frankie's mum, had a running bet over when their boys would FINALLY admit their feelings for each other, and who would ask out who.
Donna thought that Frankie would be the one to speak up first, cos he was that much more confident than Gee, but Linda felt that her son was too childish, or something, and would leave it for Gee to ask.
But both mothers knew that one day, Gee and Frankie would get together.. IF Mikey didn't ruin things first.
"Hi Gee!.." Frankie shouted as the taller boy flung the door open and grinned down at him ".. Ready for school?"
Gee nodded, the grin never leaving his face as he grabbed Frankie's sleeve and dragged him inside "I just gotta get my bag and shoes" Then he ran off upstairs to fetch his things.
Donna stepped through from the kitchen, a smile on her face, and Gee's travel-cup of coffee in her hand, ready to give to him for the walk to school "Good morning Frankie.." She said softly ".. You ok?"
Frankie looked up at her, a small frown on his face "Gee's been crying, hasn't he?.." He asked, quietly. Donna nodded sadly ".. Mikey?.." Again she nodded. Frankie huffed, annoyed ".. I'll cheer him up.." He murmured, looking toward the stairs as Gee thundered back down them, Converse on his feet and messenger bag over his shoulder. Frankie plastered his grin back on his face ".. Got everything?"
Gee trotted over to his mum, kissed her on the cheek and took his coffee cup from her hand with a smile, then turned back to face Frankie "All set.." He cheered ".. Let's go"
As the two best friends headed out the door and off down the road, happily chatting about what they'd done over the holidays, and how much they were looking forward to school without MIKEY in it.. Donna set about cleaning up the breakfast things, and smiled as she thought of Gee having several Mikey-free hours , just him and Frankie.
Just as she was finishing loading the dishwasher, her cellphone rang on the table. Wiping her hands off on a dishcloth, Donna answered the phone "Hello?.. Oh yes?.. But I didn't think he'd.. No.. No, I understand.. When would this be happening?.. Really?.. That soon?.." Donna sighed deeply in frustration ".. Well, if you think that's best.. Yes, I'll come in and sign the papers later today.. No, thank you for letting me know.. Goodbye.." Donna hung up and placed the phone back down on the kitchen counter ".. Damn-it" She muttered. How the HELL was she going to break the news to Gee?...
Notes
Hi there my little chipmunks.. I'm back!! :)
So some of you said you'd like a sequel to my one-shot, "No Cookies For Gee".. So here it begins.
I'm not sure exactly where this is going, and as some of you probably know, I NEVER PLAN.. but I have a few ideas, and I think I'm going to enjoy writing quite a bit of fluff for a change.. Though the rating MAY have to be changed later on for non-fluffy content.
Well, enjoy, comment, subscribe, and rate.. and don't forget.. peace out!

@Emo Trinity Trash
If that's to the bit I think it is...things get better. This is an unfinished fic that probably won't be finished btw, but there is an alternate version that IS finished.
thanks for reading and commenting.
