From Heaven? (Or Hell?)

Lunch had finally came, and I was looking for a place to sit, I was about to give up and just walk around when Frank came over and said, "Come on Gerard, were sitting over here." I smiled thankfully and followed him. He sat down at a table consisting of 6 guys, me sitting right by him. "This is Patrick, Pete, Jack, Alex, Tyler, and Josh." I smiled and said, "I'm Gerard." They smiled back, and Pete said, "Thank you, for saving Pat's ass yesterday, he probably would've gotten a broken rib if you didn't step in." "No problem, I was glad to help." Patrick's face got red and he looked down. Almost right after that Frank asked, "So Gerard, what school did you go to before this one? I know you weren't here last year." I hesitated before saying, "I was... Er... Homeschooled." Frank must've picked up on my awkwardness and said, "I've always wanted to be homeschooled, I've never liked public schools. There always full of fake people." I nodded my head understandingly, I knew that public schools were usually full of bullies, people wanting to be the best person there, it was usually chaos. Soon the bell rang and Frank said, "You guys wanna ditch?" Patrick and Pete shook there heads, "I don't want to miss one of my favorite classes on my second day of school, but well hang out after school, seem fair?" Frank sighed and said, "Sure." They waved and went there separate ways. Frank turned to me, "Looks like it's just you and me." I smiled and said, "So where do you go when you ditch?" I asked. "There's this pretty cool mini forest thing. It has like 15 to 25 trees, we usually go there, here I'll show you." We walked out the doors, and to the forest. It was small, but just enough to provide some privacy from the outside world. I looked around, there were some willow trees, which had there leaves all the way to the ground, we walked around, before Frank asked, "So, Gerard, How old are you?" I quickly remembered the note and said, "I'm 17, you?" He responded the same and I asked, "Do you knpw why those guys wanted to beat up Patrick yesterday?" Frank sighed. "Well, Pat is bisexual, he's dating Pete. Same with Jack and Alex, Its obvious that josh and Tyler like each other bit they refuse to admit it. And, well, I'm Gay, so that's why we all get picked on, I understand if you don't want to hang out anymore." He looked at the ground. I smiled and said, "Frank, its okay, I'm Gay too." Frank smiled, "Really? I thought you were going to tell the whole school that I was trying to get in your pants or something." I laughed and said, "No I wouldn't do that, you seem like too nice a person." At that moment I felt something like a barrier in my head disappear, I've felt that barrier ever since I got on earth. I cast my thoughts out and was able to read some people's thoughts in school. It was a bit fuzzy, but i could tell what they were thinking. I didn't read franks thoughts, that'd be a invasion of privacy. Soon I realized what father meant about 'learn the importance of other people'. I quickly looked at Frank, I wonder if it was him that made me get my ability back...
