Party Poison

Frank's/Ghoul's P.O.V

I watched Party as he drove back towards D's diner. He looked tired. But one thing I'd learnt since I'd met him is that he never gives in. He wouldn't rest until Pony and the mb's are safe. I'm worried about him. If he keeps pushing himself, he'll end up dead. I can't let that happen. I make a mental note to make him rest.
"After we've cleared the z's, we'll work out how to find Pony." Party muttered. "Star."
"Yo." Star said from next to me in the back seat.
"How long do we have before these guns need charging?" He gestured to his yellow gun.
"Each charge lasts twelve hours." Star told him. "I charged them before we came out. But because we were out earlier, they didn't get a full charge. So from what I can work out, we have eight hours max."
Party nods. "We can work with that." He said. "What about fuel, Kobra?"
"Two full cans in boot." Kobra answered.
"Plenty then." He put the brakes on and stared out the front of the car. "Fuck."
We all looked out to see what was wrong. Then I saw it. There were zombies. But not a lot. About thirty. The problem was that Ray's mum was there. I looked at Star. He had tears in his eyes. Party turned to look at him.
"Stay in the car." He said, then closed his eyes briefly. "I...I'll deal with your m...mum."
Star looked back at him. "S...she's not my m...mum." He told him.
Party sighed. He looked like he was holding back his tears. "I know." He said quietly. "Stay here?"
Star nodded.
"Keep an eye on him?" Party asked, turning to me.
"You might need me." I protested.
"I do need you." He said, running his fingers down my cheek. "I need you to look after Star and to keep safe. Me and Kobra got this. Ok?"
I nod. "Please be careful." I said, quietly.
He smiles then takes his hand back and turns to Kobra. "Ready?" He asks as he draws his gun.
Kobra nods. "Ready." He said as he pulled out his gun too.
"Remember, aim for the head." Party said. Then they both exited the car, closing the doors behind them.

Gerard's/Party's P.O.V

We stopped infront of the car and looked at each other.
"You sure your up for this, bruv?" I asked.
He grinned. "I'm stronger than you think." He said, then turned to look at the zombies. "Like playing resident evil."
I grinned as I followed his line of vision. "As long as there's no lickers, we're good." I laughed. "Let's do this."
We took off towards the rotting walkers, jumping onto nearby rocks to gain height advantage. I saw Ray's mum immediately. My heart thumped in my chest, painfully. I know I have to take her out. But I grew up with this woman. It fucking hurts. I raise the gun as she reachs out towards a red headed guy about three feet from her. "RUN." I shouted to him as I aimed for her head and pulled the trigger. The man ran as Mrs Toro fell to the floor, headless. Tears blurred my vision. Then I noticed the other zombies were looking my way. Oh shit. I wiped my eyes with my sleeve, fast then opened fire.
Kobra opened fire beside me. The heads of the zombies exploded as each shot hit target. We'd killed about twenty when the others got too close.
"Let's move." I ordered Kobra. We ran at top speed towards the diner. I cupped my hands so Kobra could climb on the roof to safety. He climbed up then dropped to his stomach to reach his hand out for me. But they were too close. So I bolted the other way.
"PARTY." Kobra shouted as he shot at the one's closest to me. One reached out it's rotting arm to grab me. I ducked and dodged it just as another reached for me. It managed to grab my arm. I shot it's arm off and ran. The fucking arm was still attached to mine so I yanked it off. I heard Kobra shoot another one as I headed for some nearby rocks.
Once on I turned around and shot the last three. Seems Kobra managed to take out the others. I drop to sit on the rock below me, panting. I was finding it hard to breathe right now.
Kobra jumped down and ran over to join me. "You okay, bruv?" He asked, looking worried.
I nodded. "Just...knackered." I managed. "Why...the fuck...do they...have to be....the running...kind?"
Kobra laughed as Star and Ghoul join us. Ghoul sits next to me and puts his arm around my waist, resting his head on my shoulder. "I'm so glad your okay."
I smile in response. Then look at Star. He was looking over at his mum's corpse. Kobra hugged him as he cried.
"What's wrong with..?" D stopped as he realised why Star was upset. He stopped his chair infront of me. "Who had to..?"
I felt another tear slide down my face. "I had to." I told him, shakily.
D looked up at me with sympathy. "Shit, Party." He muttered. "I'll get the other's to bury her. They can burn the others."
I nod in response. "I have to get Star back." I said, standing up. "Then I'm going to find Pony."
"I'm not going back without knowing Pony's safe." Star said as he walked towards me. "I won't sit back and mope. Not when you need me. I will not lose you too."
I sighed. "Don't suppose I can talk you out of it?" I asked.
"No. You can't."
I throw my hands up in defeat. "Fine." I look at D. "Don't suppose you know of a route we can use to get in unseen?"
D smiled. "Actually I do."
