Game Over
Chapter 2
Fifteen levels, three large bottles of Coke and six toilet breaks later, Mikey said, "When are we fighting zombies? We've fought ancient creatures and spirits, but no zombies."
"Oh, shut up, Mikey," Frank groaned. Mikey mumbled something as he messed with the controller. As our avatars got ready to enter the next chamber, the television screen started glitching.
"Hey are you guys having glitches?," I asked, smacking my palm against the side of the television. Three voices said 'yeah' into the microphone.
"What's going on, Gee?," Mikey asked quietly.
"I don't know, Mike," I said slowly, checking the game console. Suddenly, the screen turned white and flashed brightly, blinding the both of us.
---
"GERARD! WAKE UP!," somebody shouted. I opened my eyes and met Bob's worried eyes.
"What happened?," I asked, slowly getting up. The floor was cool and rough.
"I d-don't kn-know. There w-was this wh-white light, and t-then we woke up h-here," Mikey stuttered, his body shaking. I looked at my surroundings and saw red bricks covered in moss. Red bricks? This wasn't my bedroom.
"This place seems familiar," Ray said, running a hand through his hair.
"Yeah, like in Death Chambers 2," Frank mumbled. I stared at him, shocked.
"Don't talk shit," Bob said, punching Frank's chest.
"I think we should move on," I said, staring down the corridor we were standing in. God knows what we would find later on.
