Gerard's P.O.V

Mum and Dad went home after a week. Mum hugged Kat so tight, I had images of the baby popping out. Even Dad hugged Kat. Mikey and Alicia went home just afterwards. I headed to the kitchen to see Kat. I stopped outside the door when I heard her talking.
"No. He has no rights. He hurt me. I don't want him ruining what I have." Pause. "I have Gerard. He's the best thing that's ever happened to me. I won't let anything come between us." I smiled. "No. I don't want to talk to h...damn it." Pause. "I don't care." Pause. She laughed bitterly. "Like hell. You think he's the devil's child and I'm being corrupted by him."
So she's talking to her Dad then.
"You call that making it up to me? Gerard is NOT the devil's child. For fuck sake..." Pause. "Seriously? Remind me again why you think he promotes suicide." Pause. Kat laughs. "You are so wrong. I'd say google Every Snowflake by My Chemical Romance. But the internet is the devils work too. If only you knew. Even his Grandmother was a Catholic." Pause. "That is so out of order. You have no right to say anything about her. You never knew her. She was amazing." Pause. "Obviously. He told me. She meant the world to him." Pause. "You knos what? I'm not doing this anymore. I have Donna and Don. Two amazing people who care about other people's feelings. I have Mikey and Alicia who are the kindest, most loving people I've ever met. And I have Gerard. Who I'm going to marry. Regardless of what you say. He's everything I could ever want and more. And when this baby is born..." Pause. "WHAT? How dare you? Don't ever contact me again. As far as I'm concerned, I have no parents."
I rushed into the room as I heard Kat crying. I scooped her up into my arms and took her into the lounge. I lowered her onto the couch and sat down beside her, hugging her to my chest.
"He just kept on saying how I was making a big mistake." She said, quietly as she rested her head on my shoulder. "He had the cheek to say bad things about your Grandmother. Then he tried to convince me to abort the baby because it's the devil's child."
"Does that mean I'm promoted to thd devil himself?" I asked
She laughed as she hugged me tighter. "I wouldn't say the devil." She said as she moved to straddle me. She rested her hands on my chest as shd looked down at me. I rested my hands on her hips. "More like Loķi." She said, smiling slightly.
I smiled. "Loķi?" I asked.
"God of mischief."
I grinned. "So now you think I'm a god?"
"I always thought you were a god." She stated. "Gerard?"
"Yes, baby?"
She sighed. "Do you think we could maybe throw a last minute party tonight?" She asked. "We could tell everyone the news and talk about the wedding."
I smiled. "What about your parents?"
"They've only just gone home." She stated. "I can get them up to date later." She bit her bottom lip as she stared into space. "I could ask them to come back soon for a week so your Mum can help me choose a wedding dress. Dad can help you choose a suit. Maybe the wives can join me and Mum to help find the dresses they will be wearing."
I smiled at her general use of calling my Mum and Dad hers already. I guess the feeling was mutual then. I know they love her.
"We should group call them now." Kat said, excitedly as she leaned her forehead against mine. "You could call the caterers for the party?"
I kissed her, briefly. "If it gets you to smile like this again." I said. "I'd do anything."
She kissed me again then grabbed her phone as I grabbed mine. She stayed straddling me while she group called the guys on loudspeaker.
Mikey: "Can't get enough of us eh?"
Ray: "Hey Mikey. Is this a group call?"
Bob: "Is Frank here aswell?"
Frank: "Yeah."
Ian: "I'm here too."
Frank: "Who's me?"
Ian: "Ian. You dwarf."
Frank: "Shut it, hippie."
Matt: "Now, now, boys. Play nice."
Ray: "Who's that?"
Matt: "Matt."
Ray: "Oh. Hey, Matt."
Matt: "Hey."
Kat: "You all done? It's just Gerard and I want to talk to you all."
Mikey: "What's up, sis?"
Kat: "Last minute party at Gerards. Who's in? Wives a must."
Frank: "We're in."
Ray: "Us too."
Bob: "Party. Wooo. We're definitely in."
Matt: "Wives away. But I'm in."
Ian: "I'll bring Lola."
Mikey: "Partying with Gerard? Pass."
I laughed.
Kat: "No. Partying with ME. And you don't get a choice. You and Alicia are in."
Mikey: "Find. We're in."
Everyone said their goodbyes with a promise to turn up in an hour. Kat put the phone down and waited for me to call the caterers. They would bd here in half an hour. Good job they were always ready.
Kat leaned down and kissed me again. "I love you, Loķi." She said against my lips.
I laughed. "I love you too....Aphrodite."
She grinned. "Goddess of love?"
"Obviously."
