Blood and Love
Chapter One
Silence. That's all I heard. The silence of my own life is all I ever hear. I've heard it soo much, I don't even wonder about it anymore. It doesn't really bother me like it used to when it first came about. "Nik, I'm sorry I volunteered you. but it's not like you haven't done this before." Amy whined obnoxiously at me. I ran my fingertips over the scars on my neck, angrily. "Nikki, please. I'm really beging you to do this.
"I can't believe you." I snapped. It was one of the many four word sentences that I can form. Four words only. "Fine." Amy's sad expressin turned into one of delight. mine remained unamused and disgusted because this was a war that I probably never have won this argument. Yeah, I'm pretty stubborn. But Amy has always been the most stubborn. The most I really could have done was dragged this on, but I never would have won. That's the only reason I don't try.
"Oh, thank you Nikki. I'm glad you're willing to do this. I know you really don't like this. But I'm glad you're goint to make this sacrifice." Amy thanked me. I gave her the dirtiest look I could, and walked away to the couch. Thanks to Amy, I was going to have to live with a bunch of vampires I didn't know and give them blood. Not that I haven't done this before, but I hate it more than anything in the world. I absolutely despised all my experiances doing this. "Are you ready to meet your new, uh, friends?"
"Never." I replied flatly.
"Good. They'll be here anytime now!" she said cheerfully. I grimaced. "And, seriously, plaid is the best you can do?"
"Ugh, fashion..." I began to hug my knees, ignoring the protests Amy had against that.
"What kind of impression do want to make, Nikki? A good one, or a bad one?" Amy asked sternly.
"Bad."
"C'mon! Don't you want them to like you?"
"Nope."
"Nikole Jacklynn Lee!" I smirked at my older sister. She gave me a stern look, and smacked my arm really hard. "You need to get a therapist or something. Because you seriously need a happier life because this isn't working for you." That was when we heard a knock at the door. I winced, and glanced at Amy. She was giing me the most enthusiastic smile, causing the feeling of dread deep in my stomach "Ready?"
"Not exactly..." I hugged my knees tighter. Amy opened the door, and greeted whoever it was with a kind smile. There was two guys and a girl. When the girl saw me, she ran over to me with a look of awe. She began to stroke my hair.
"Oh. My. Gosh. I LOVE YOUR HAIR!!!" she gushed excitedly. One guy put his hand on her shoulder.
"Red, please don't make this poor girl believe that you are crazy." he warned the girl. Red looked defeated.
"But Frank!! Look at her! How could you NOT freak out about hair as pretty as that? She is soo pretty!" she argued.
"I could not freak out because A) I'm a guy. And B) I have a lot of self-control. Something you happen to lack." Frank replied. I looked over at the other guy, who was unamused by this. Except his face was really hot. he other was okay, but he was clearly with Red.
