Drinking By The Mausoleum Door

Mysty's P.O.V

I prop myself up on my elbow and watched Gerard sleep. We've been together for about two months now and only known each other for a week more. He's already told me he loves me. But I've never said it back. It's not that I don't love him. I do. I just need it to be the ŕight time. I have a plan. It involved the performance I'm due to do next month. The one Gerard doesn't know about. Rehearsals start next week. So I have to not slip up. I can do this. Can't I?
I sighed and slid out of the bed. I got dressed then headed to the kitchen. Then my phone rang. Carter Jones. My production manager.
Me: "Hey, C. What's up?"
C: "Hey. I just wanted to check round to make check you all remember that rehearsals start next week?"
Me: "Of course I remember. I helped plan it."
C: "I know. But you've had a lot on your mind lately. So I wanted to remind you."
Me: "Thanks, C. I'll be there."
C: "Okay. See you next week."

I hung up then called Amy.

Amy: "Hey, Marty."
Me: "Hey, Amy. How's Billie's outfit coming on?"
Amy: "Really well. He's going to turn heads."
I laugh.
Me: "Turn away in disgust."
Amy laughed.
Amy: "No. You said to not be too cruel so we're going for pink leggings, a pink bikini top, a full on peacock style tail and a pink head band with feathers."
I laugh again.
Me: "He's going to look sexy. The guys won't be able to keep their hands off him."
Amy: "You do realise he's looking forward to it?"
Me: "I'm not surprised. He's always been up for a laugh."
Amy: "I'm looking forward to tomorrow."
Me: "So am I."
