Drinking By The Mausoleum Door

Mysty's P.O.V

We walked into Brendon's hospital room. Oli stood by the window. Billie sat on a chair by the door. Amy was asleep on the chair by the bed. Oli and Billie turned to look at me as I walked in the room with Gerard in tow. I ignore them and go over to the bed. Brendon looks so bad. Swollen eye. Cuts everywhere. I had to hold onto the bed for support as I looked down at my friend, battered and bruised. I grabbed his hand and kissed his forehead.
"Wake up, Brendon." I say as I sit next to him on the bed. "You can't leave us. Who's gonna help us control Billie if your not here?"
"Hey." Billie called.
"We need you. Please don't leave us." I feel a tear roll down my cheek. Gerard puts a arm round my shoulders in comfort. "I have so much to tell you. I need to tell you. Your my best friend."
"Hey." Billie and Oli called.
"ONE of my best friends." I correct. "Please wake up." Gerard kisses me on the top of my head. I can't lose Brendon. As the tears start to fall, Amy wakes up. She stands up quickly and pulls me into a hug. Gerard backs up slightly. Removing his arm from my shoulders.
"I'm so glad your here, Marty." Amy whispered. She pulled away and looked at me. "I couldn't have coped without you."
I forced a smile. "He'll be okay, Amy. He's a fighter."
"I know he will. It's just hard seeing him like this."
"I know. But he'll wake up. He has to."
Amy looks down at her hands. "I've decided to tell him."
I smile for real this time. "Seriously?"
"Yes. I think it's the right time." She looks back at me. "I'm going to finally tell Brendon that I love him."
"You love me?"
All eyes snap round to the bed. Brendon is staring at Amy. Wide eyed.
