He finally gets off the bed and gets dressed also; we head downstairs and we see Donna already making pancakes. I sigh but I think I should be used to this by now; when she sees us she smiles. We sit at the table and a couple moments pass by in silence.

“You two were loud last night” Donna jokes

“So were you mom; that’s what woke us up” Gerard says; she freezes and a dark blush comes across her face.

“How about we agree that no one heard anything and we never had this talk?” she compromises

“Deal” we both chime; after another moment she set down the plates but her phone rings and she goes into the living room answering it. Me and Gee look at each other and giggle before eating the pancakes; after a couple minutes she comers back in smiling.

“Your cousin Claire’s birthday party is today and Aunt Jenny invited everyone; did you want to go?”

“Sure” he smiles; she then turns to me.

“She invited you too” I look at her for a moment.

“They know about me?” I question

“Umm yeah, they know you live with us but they don’t know why; I wasn’t sure if you wanted me to tell them?” she admits, I nod.

“Sure I’ll go and you can go ahead and tell them….How old is she?” I wonder

“Okay the party is at 12:00…she’s turning six today” I smile and nod again turning back to the food; I didn’t mind her telling them about me. It was her family so it was okay; I then began to get nervous…I’m meeting the rest of his family, aunts, cousins. I wonder how this will go.

“Gerard could you text your brother and ask when he’s coming back and ask if he wants to come” Mrs. Way says; he nods and pulls out his phone quickly texting something. A couple moments later his phone chimes.
“He’s actually walking back now and he says he’ll go” He informs , she nods and eats her own food; after we eat we go upstairs to take a quick shower and Gee’s excuse for showering together was ‘it saves water’ which made me laugh. Then get back in our clothes; by this time Mikey was back from Patrick’s and it was only 11:15 so we had time to spare.

“Anything we should know about Claire?” I ask the family; apparently Mr. Way wasn’t going so he was upstairs watching TV in his room so we were all just sitting on the couch watching a show.

“She loves Frozen so expect a Frozen themed party” Donna says and I smile; Kids and Frozen, what is with that?

“She’s not shy so she might talk a lot” Mikey says

“Do you know how many kids will be there?” Gerard starts going over names, I catch Claire, Ben, Jake, Lizzy, and Kylee; he says those are all the kids but there will be some babies who can’t walk yet so 5 kids and 2 babies. I nod and turn back to the TV. After about ten minutes we decide to head off and now we’re driving to Jenny’s house; Ha Jenny from the block. I giggle to myself at the joke and Gerard makes a confused face; I just smile at him and stare at the window. In about fifteen minutes we arrive to a one story house that is still pretty big; it goes far back and has a garage, also several cars line the street. I wonder how many people there are? I slowly get out and I began to feel nervous again; Gee sences that and looks to me.

“Hey its okay, everyone is going to love you and no one is judgmental; they all know I’m gay. Just relax and enjoy the Frozen themed party” he smiles and I giggle and nod; We walk up and I sigh as the first thing I see on the door is a poster that has Olaf on it that reads ‘come on in’ Donna opens the door and I could hear chattering from the adults and yelling from the kids.

“Hey Donna!” I hear several people call; I enter last and look around, yep this place is huge and there are several people. One room has a sofa and a chair with a TV so I’m guessing the living room; it hold four females and both of the babies who ARE SOOO CUTE. I then see a large walkway that leads into another room that we’ll check out later but instead three little kids come running down.

“MIKEY AND GEE ARE HERE” they call running up and hugging them; yep there all about 6, or 7 years old. Two girls and one boy; They let go of Gerard and he turns to me

“Claire, Kyle, Ben, this is my boyfriend Frank” I smile at them and they all run up and hug me; I look to Gee and he’s smiling too
“I think they like you” he jokes; they let go and I’m guessing the girl that has the shirt that reads ‘Birthday Girl’ is Claire and then Kylee who has long blonde hair and blue eyes, last Ben who has light brown hair that’s cut short wearing a Spiderman shirt; Claire all of a sudden grabs my hand pulling me closer

“Come on I have to show you all my toys since you haven’t seen them, and then I need to have you meet my cousins Jake and Lizzy who are brother and sister, then I need to show you all the games that we can play, then we can watch Frozen-“

“Claire hold on; let Frank meet everyone and then we can go and play, okay?” Donna explains, she nods and all three kids run back down the hallway; I giggle at her enthusiasm. She gestures me into the room with the females and I give a shy smile

“Hello Frank it’s nice to meet you, I’m Jenny Claire’s mother and the mother to this little girl right here” she grins gesturing to the adorable baby in her arms.

“Hi nice to meet you too; thanks for inviting me” I reply.

“No problem, We have a big family so this is Kathryn the oldest sister and the mother of Jake and Lizzy; this is Marla whose the mother of Ben and Carter” she says lightly ruffling her hands through the other babies hair.
“And lastly Wendy whose the mother of Kylee” She ends grinning and nodding to each aunt.


“Hello, nice to meet you guys” Another unknown kid suddenly runs up and grabs a toy then running back away.

“Who was that?” Gerard asked

“I invited a bunch of friends from the daycare so all Claire’s friends are here also; there all playing out there” Yikes more kids; I wonder how many toys have been thrown across the room hitting someone in the face. We nod and Mrs. Way comes up to my ear.

“Did you want me to explain what happened to your parents; Gerard can show you around?” she asks and I nod.

“Okay we’ll be around” Gee says hugging his aunts and pinching Gabe’s cheeks; I see Donna sit down and get their attention before we walk to the hallway. Once through we see several other people who are talking away

“I don’t know these people so I’m guessing there from the daycare” Gee informs and I nod “But Matt and Thomas should be here soon…Oh Matt is Jenny’s husband and Thomas is Wendy’s husband” he explains and I nod again; I look to my left which is a big kitchen with a couple people but the counters are lined with food and snacks and in the back counter was a cake with Elsa on top. I then looked around the house and saw Frozen streamers, balloons, goodie bags, basically everything Frozen; I heard giggling and turned around to see Claire behind me.

“Can we play now Frank?” she asked

“Sure thing, where to?” I smiled, she grabbed my hand

“Gerard you stay here” she said

“Why?” he playfully gasped

“Just stay here” she pouted and I giggled

“Be right back” I called as she led me to another room; I looked around to see pink walls and a bed with a Frozen sheet so I’m guessing her room. Looking around I spot two other kids.

“This is Jake and Lizzy; you guys this is Frank, Gee’s boyfriend” She said to them; they looked up and smiled

“Hey, come sit with us” they said and I smiled while sitting down next to them.

“What are you doing?” I asked

“We’re just drawing” Lizzy held up a picture of a flower

“You’re really good” I commented


“You think so?” she asked hopeful

“Positive, you’re better than me” I grinned

“I’m going to show mom” she said getting up and leaving the room; I was left with Jake who was drawing a fire truck and Claire who started drawing a house. I sat there for a moment before I grabbed a crayon and paper and started drawing a person sloppily.

“What are you drawing?” Claire asked looking over

“I’m not sure” I shrugged my shoulders

“So how long have you and Gee been a couple?” she suddenly asked

“We actually celebrated our one month anniversary yesterday”

“Awwwww…Mommy and daddy said they celebrated their 9th year last week…You and Gee are a cute couple” she cooed and I smiled.

“So you live with Aunt Donna and Gerard?” I nodded

“Do you live on the couch?”

“No I live on Gee’s bed” I responded

“Do you cuddle with him like I do with my teddy bear?”

“Sometimes” I giggled. Lies, more like all the time I AM THE CUDDLE MASTER AND I NEED CUDDLES FOREVER…Too far but cuddling is what I enjoy. She smiled and turned back to the drawing; Lizzy came back into the room and came up to me.

“Stand up” I followed her demanding orders then all of a sudden she attached herself to my leg sitting on my foot.s

“Now walk around” she smiled

“ME TOO” Jake yelled and went on my other leg

“ME THREE” Claire joined in but she looked at me
“Can I go on your back?” I thought for a moment if I would be able to carry her but I nodded and bent my knees where she quickly climbed on and wrapped her arms around my neck interlocking her fingers; I carefully stood back up and I grabbed her legs so she wouldn’t fall backwards. She wasn’t too heavy so I could do it; I tried to take a step but since they were on my feet they weighed it down. They laughed and giggled as I slowly trudged out of the room; dragging my feet and the giggling balls of cuteness with me.
Going out into the living room the parents from the daycare smiled at the scene but carried on talking.

“Can we ask mom when we’re having cake” Claire said

“Okay, to the living room” I cheered as they laughed again; walking in the living room I saw that they all had glum expressions on their face and even Kathryn was shedding a tear. I’m guessing Donna was telling them about my parents; once they saw me she wiped the tear away and they all smiled at the kids attached to my legs and Claire on my back.

“Claire wants to know when we’re having cake?” I smiled, she laughed and looked to Claire

“We need to eat lunch first; did you want some?” they nodded and all three of them quickly detached themselves from me and ran into the kitchen.

“Frank did you want to hold Piper?” she said gesturing to the adorable baby.

“Uhh, sure” seventeen years old and I’ve never held a baby…or really been around kids; this was actually my first experience with kids and it seemed to be going very well. I walked over and carefully took her from her arms and held her; she was SOOO CUTEEEEEE. Jenny stood up and went out into the kitchen; I looked down to Piper.

“How old is she?” I asked the remaining women

“She’s only four months” I nodded and smiled at Piper; she smiled back showing her gummy mouth and I couldn’t help but say ‘awwww’ and I heard them laugh.

“So Frank you’ve never been around children really?” she asked and I shook my head

“No siblings and not really doing anything that involved kids” I replied and they nodded; Piper started whining and I really didn’t know what to do besides rock her side to side. I saw a blanket on the couch so I grabbed that and handed it to her; she grabbed it and placed her thumb in her mouth closing her eyes. I guess someone is tired; I continued rocking her as within minutes she fell asleep. I heard Donna and them talking quietly but I tuned them out and looked to the sleeping Piper; her face looked peaceful and it was so cute with her chubby cheeks. I wrapped the blanket around her and smiled.

“Who’s the fellow holding my daughter?” I heard a male say; I looked over and say a guy about a foot taller than me, pretty skinny, and was handsome for his age. I realized that Jenny was pretty young; I wonder how old she is?

“Hey Matt” Matt, so Jenny’s husband and father to Piper and Claire “This is Frank” Marla said

“What’s up?” he smiled towards me; he didn’t ask anything else so I’m guessing he was told I was coming and that I was living with Donna.

“Nothing much, holding this adorable ball of cuteness” I said smiling down at Piper; I hear him chuckle and look up when I hear Jenny coming back into the room

“What? I’ve been trying to get her to sleep for the last hour and I give her to you for five minutes!” She scoffs playfully.

“I probably bore her to death” I joke; she comes over and takes her from me

“You have the magic touch; I’m going to put her in the crib” We nod and I’m left standing there with Gee’s aunts, Donna and Matt

“Frank you want to hang out in the garage?” Matt asks

“Uhh..Sure” I say kind of nervously; well I just met him so I am kind of nervous; he smiles and walks over to a door opening it and stepping inside. Once inside my jaw drops with what’s inside; he has a couch right in the middle and in front on the wall is a flat screen TV, off to one side is an exercise machine, then to the other is a full fridge

“You have your own man cave?” I comment

“Yep, Do you like it?” I nod my head; he goes over to the fridge and opens it.

“You want a beer?”

“Umm…No thank you” I fluster; he turned around with an embarrassed face realizing I was only 17.

“Sorry habit when with friends”

“No problem” I smile

“Go ahead and sit down; you mind if we watch football, there’s a game on. I love Claire…but FROZEN; I’VE WATCHED FROZEN 50 TIMES SINCE IT CAME OUT. AND OH MY GOD ‘LET IT GO’ IS SO ANNOYING AND I CAN’T TAKE IT…So I’m hiding in here” he says sitting down and I grin at his reaction.

“Go right ahead” I laugh; he seems like a cool dude. He turns on the TV and switches to a college football game.

“Did they tell you why I was living with Donna?” I ask

“No but I am interested” Damn it “You don’t have to if you don’t want to” he adds in

“No it’s okay…Umm my parents went on a business trip and while in their hotel there was a gas leak; of course they didn’t know, they lit a candle and…” I trail off making an exploding motion with my hands; he stares at me for a moment processing what I just said.

“And since I was Gerard’s boyfriend Mr. and Mrs. Way were kind enough to take me in I guess till I turn 18 or something”

“I’m sorry Frank” he says sympathetically

“It’s okay” I shrug my shoulders

“Question? Do you get bullied a lot?” I decide to be honest and nod.

“I used to also; not what you’ve most likely been called but in high school I was a huge nerd. I was the captain of the chess team, and the captain of the Glee club; I got all A’s and was a huge teacher’s pet. Everyone made fun of me for it; then senior year I met Jenny”

“You guys met in high school?” he grins and nods

“Dated senior year; she moved in with me after that. Three years later we get married; now we have two wonderful kids” he stares off into space as remembering all of this; the look of love on his face I start to wonder. Can me and Gee be like that? All of a sudden the door opens to reveal Gerard

“Oh there you are Frank, Hey Matt. Lunch is ready!” he cheers and we both get up; we go in to the kitchen where all the kids were set up at the table and couch and now the adults were getting there’s. After about ten minutes I got a sandwich, chips, some fruit and a soda; Matt kindly invited Mikey, Gee and me back into the garage which we obviously accepted so now we’re watching the football game slowly eating our food.

“OH COME ON THAT WAS A FUCKING FUMBLE” Matt yelled at the TV to the referee and we all laughed all of a sudden the door swung open

“Matt did I just hear you cuss?” she placed her hands on her hips

“Uh…no” he said looking at the ground; she shook her head and sighed

“You watch your mouth” she warned

“Sorry” he said

“You guys having fun?” she said to us and we gave a ‘yeah’ back
“We’re about to cut the cake if you want any?” We nodded and stood up; the cake was now in the middle of the big table and it had 6 candles in it all lit up. As soon as we were back Jenny started singing Happy Birthday and everyone joined in; we cut the cake and served everyone. It was chocolate and it tasted really good; after another ten minutes we opened the presents and most of the stuff was Frozen dolls, a tea set, a small playhouse, a puzzle, a frozen dress which she immediately put on and shoes. She was so happy with all the presents and thanked everyone.

“Do you think she has enough Frozen stuff yet?” Matt chuckled next to me and I nodded because form what I saw in her room and all the gifts now, she was set for life.

“I wonder what’s going to happen when she find a new craze she likes?” I laughed and he groaned; all the kids, which was about ten left into another room when Jenny came over

“Frank Claire wants you to watch Frozen with her” I could hear Matt give s small laugh but I nodded

“Have fun” Gee joked and I smacked his arm before getting up and throwing my cake plate away; walking into the living room I spot all the kids on the sofa in front of the movie. It was at the part where the trolls were looking at baby Anna after she got hit by Elsa; I sat down next to them.

“Cuddle!!” Claire yelled and sat on my lap while Kylee sat close to my side; then Lizzy the same on my other side. They sofa had a leg area so I reached down and pulled the lever where the end shot up and they giggled; which was a stupid part on my hand because another girl I’m guessing a friend laid on my legs. I guess they were comfortable enough because they relaxed and watched the movie silently…until ‘Do You Want to Build a Snowman’ came on and they sang that and laughed during it and I couldn’t help but smile…I may have sang the lyrics in my head though.

Around 15 minutes later I looked around me and I saw that Lizzy, Kylee, and Claire were all asleep the other kid on my legs was also asleep; gosh I really am boring. Kylee was on my lap with her head on my chest then Lizzy and Kylee were sitting up but their head on my side; the kid by my legs was sprawled out, her head near my foot and her legs near the other. It looked like she was uncomfortable but whatever worked I guess; I heard footsteps and Gerard came in, when he saw me he giggled and pulled out is phone. Oh gosh he’s going to take a picture; I rolled my eyes as the camera snapped and he smiled.

“Matt, Jenny” he called and they both came in and looked at the scene

“Oh dear” Jenny smiled; Matt came over and lifted Claire up taking her into her room.

“Kathryn come look at your child” Jenny laughed; she also came in and looked at Lizzy then smiled

“I think it’s time we go home; someone’s tired” she said carefully picking up Lizzy; and of course now Mikey and Donna were curious and were watching all the sleeping kids around me.

“Where’s her mother?” I asked pointing to the girl on my legs

“Once second” Jenny says and goes back into the other room; about a moment later she enters with another parent who comes over

“Sorry about that” she apologizes

“No problem” I smile and she says goodbye to everyone carrying the girl with her; now all that’s left is Kylee lying on my side. Wendy and another man who I am guessing is Thomas come in and smile; this whole day was full of laughs and smiles wasn’t it. They hug everyone first saying they had a great time and then Thomas picks her up and leaves the room smiling down at his daughter.

“Thanks Frank for keeping them occupied” Wendy smiles

“It was nothing” I respond and stand up; all of a sudden I hear running and Claire comes up and hugs me. I kneel down so I’m almost her height.

“Thanks for playing with me Frank; can you come visit soon?” she asks her voice still sounding tired

“I’ll try okay…for now you just get some sleep, happy birthday Claire” I say and she nods before running back into the room.

“Okay guys I think it’s time we go home also” Donna says and I turn to Jenny

“Thanks again for letting me come over” I smile

“No problem; I’m pretty sure Claire will be asking for you soon” she says coming over and hugging me, I hug back and look around and see that mostly everyone has left; Matt comes out I’m guessing after tucking Claire back in and smiles.

“She’s back asleep…Thank for coming you guys; I think she had a good birthday” he hugs everyone including me and we walk to the door.

“Have fun taking down your Frozen decorations” I joke and he rolls his eyes; one last goodbye before we hop in to the car me and Gee in the back.

“Well that was fun” I smile

“Yep, seems like everyone liked you…especially the kids” Mikey says ; I nod and we head back home. Once there we say we’re going to take a nap and go upstairs; stripping to our boxers I lay on the bed and Gee does the same. He grabs his phone and shows me the picture he took with all the girl around me.

“I’m a ladies’ man” I joke and he nudges my shoulder before snaking a hand around my body and putting the phone back.

“For not being around kids you’re really great with them” he comments and I nod
“Have you ever wanted kids?” he asks

“I’ve never really thought about it but I think it will be nice”

“I could picture you holding our kid” he says before he lays his head down; our kid…I smile to myself picturing the both of us in our own house, Gerard holding a kid playing with them while I make pancakes in the kitchen. I do the same and lay my head on the pillow closing my eyes; this has been a really good day of doing nothing.
