Hold On Tight and Don't Look Back

Gerard’s P.O.V

“Mikey you better delete that!” I yell to him referring to the picture he took of me and Frank kissing. I hop in the car and watch Frank as he goes inside.

“It’s a really good picture” Mikey says.

“Show me” He shows me the screen but I snatch it from his hands; He obviously protests but just watches me.

“What are you doing?” he asks

“Sending it to Frank” I respond putting a small caption

“Of course you are” he grins, I roll my eyes and press send; I didn’t expect him to reply back so I gave the phone back to Mikey and stared out the window thinking about Frank. I hope he’s okay on his own; I really didn’t want to leave but I have another stupid project in Home Ec. Mom drops us off and I head to my locker where Ray is waiting.

“Hey Gee, You ready for the Home Ec project?” he asks; he’s always energetic in the mornings. I groan at his question.

“No” I complain, he just laughs.

“Are we heading to Frank’s locker?” he questions.

“Oh, umm, no. Frank’s not feeling well so he stayed home” I tell him.

I’m not sure if Frank would be comfortable telling Ray the situation. Ray believes me and nods. We spend the rest of the time talking about what we’re doing for Home Ec when I see Bryce coming down the hallway; when he sees me his eyebrows furrow in curiosity, probably wondering where Frank is. Luckily I don’t have any classes with Bryce either until P.E. It seems time goes by so slowly today and I wish I was with Frank; I feel really lonely right now and I want to be cuddling up beside him on the bed. I wonder what he’s doing right now? It was finally the last period and I quickly got my sports clothes on ready to play a game of soccer; I spot Bryce walking up to me and I instantly go into bitch mode.

“What do you want?” I spit at him.

“Just wondering where Frank is; you seemed pretty attached to him last week that I literally thought he was glued to you”

“You just leave me and Frank alone; you got that” I say to him with obvious anger in my voice.

“We’ll see” he says with a smirk.

“Like hell you will” I retort

“Oh yes… I will” he says before walking off. I clench my fist trying not to punch the lockers beside me; Oh how I just want to see Frank right now. I never knew I could miss someone this much but it was possible. I head out to the field giving death glares to Bryce and his friends but luckily finish the period; once the final bell rings I race out to the parking lot tapping my foot waiting for Mikey. Within seconds he comes out.

“Are you okay?” he asks

“Yes I just want to go home!” I say anxious.

“Calm down Gee I’m sure Frank is fine” he laughs. I roll my eyes and we start walking home at a mild pace. Once home I quickly open the door and see my mother on the couch.

“Where’s Frank?”

“He’s in your ro” I don’t even let her finish before I bolt up the stairs and up to our room. I swing open the door and Frank turns around; he was by the dresser putting away some laundry. I quickly close the door and run over to him picking him up and swinging him around.

“Gee!” He giggles

“I missed you baby” I say planting a kiss on his lips.

“I missed you too” he grins, I set him down and throw my backpack to the side. I lay down on the bed, My feet tired form soccer and walking; Frank lays next to me.

“So how was school?” he asks

“Lonely…Besides that nothing unusual” I respond, I look around the room and narrow my eyes.

“Did you clean?”

“Ya, your laundry is over there” he says pointing near the dresser
“I got bored” he finishes; I just smile and kiss him again. I look to his pocket and see something sticking out. I quickly reach for it and realize it’s my drawing.

“Oh that was in your pants pocket; I didn’t want it to get washed” I open it up and something’s added; On the stomach of the drawing faint little lines are drawn with colored pencil. I look to him.
“You can erase those if you want I didn’t kn” I cut him off by pulling him forward inches from my face.

“It’s perfect” I whisper, he smiles at me and I can’t help but grin back; I did really miss him. I randomly roll over on top of him and he squeals.

“Gee you’re squishing me!” he giggles.

“To bad, I’m going to take a nap” I joke, playfully closing my eyes and fake snoring. Frank gives up and pats my head.

“So what did you do today?” I ask; my eyes still closed.

“Cleaned, watched T.V and took a nap” he says still playing with my hair. I nodded and laid my head on his shoulder.

“Did you get the picture from this morning?” I question, Frank giggles

“Yes I did…I may have saved it to my phone” he jokes; I grin and close my eyes. I missed him so much; I just want to stay right here forever. Just me holding him, and looking at his wonderful features; All of a sudden the door opens.

“Whoa, Okay” I hear Mikey’s voice say and trying to go back out.

“Clothes are still on Mikey” I say rolling off of Frank; Mikey stops and turns back around.

“Mom made some snacks and she says Franks not allowed to wash the dishes afterwards” I give Frank a confused look and he shrugs his shoulders.

“You rushed up here so fast you haven’t seen how much he actually cleaned” Mikey explains; I stand up grabbing Frank’s hand helping him up and we head out the door. Okay the hallway and stairs carpet are cleaned; we walk into the living room. The floors are swept and mopped and the coffee table cleaned; walking into the kitchen I see the counters are scrubbed, dishes done, and table wiped. I look to Frank in astonishment.

“You did all this?” I ask

“Why is everyone so surprised? Since I moved in it’s technically my house to and I can clean when I want” He objects; I can hear my mom let off a short laugh.

“Okay jeez” I joke putting my hands up in defeat; he gives a hum noise and smiles approvingly. We grab the bowl of chips my mom put out and go sit on the couch. I warp my arm around Frank and stare at him.

“What?” he asks referring to the staring.

“Nothing; I just missed you” I cooed; he smiles.

“So did anyone notice I was gone?” he questions.

“Ray asked; I just said you weren’t feeling well…and Bryce looked curious” I didn’t want to tell him about when Bryce came up to me; Frank nods and takes a couple chips popping them into his mouth. After about twenty minutes mom comes out.

“Mikey, Gerard. You two get started on homework” We both nod and head to our bedrooms; Frank follows me and lies on the bed while I quickly work at the desk. About 15 minutes later I finish and I look over to see Frank on his back staring at the ceiling; I go over to him.

“What are you thinking about?” I ask sitting by his legs, He sighs and looks to me.

“Just wondering when the coworker is going to call so we know what’s happening” he says quietly, I grab his hand, running my fingers over his knuckles.

“I’m not sure baby; but they will call” I assure him, he nods and sits up.

“You done with homework?” he asks.

“Yep, anything you want to do until dinner?” I ask; He shrugs his shoulders.

“Not really”

“Fine” I quickly leap on the bed squishing him again.

“Nap time” I say leaning my head on his chest.

“Gee!” he squeals pushing my shoulders. I wrap my arms around him and roll over so he’s now on top; Frank quickly leans up and giggles. I lightly place my lips on his and he moves closer deepening the kiss; I place my hands by his side lightly squeezing. *Knock, Knock, Knock* I let out a groan and Frank rolls the said letting me up; I open the door and it reveals my dad.

“Hey Gee, me and your mother are going to go to the mall to pick up something; Mikey went to Patrick’s place. You guys good on your own?”

“Ya we’re good” he nods and I close the door smiling; I go over to Frank who looks confused and sit next to him.

“What happened?”

“Mom and dad are going to the mall and Mikey went to his friends” I respond and Frank nods.

“So what were we doing?” I wink, Frank grins and leans in close…
