But little did I know...

"Here you have it. And yes, I used Gerard's artwork. It's really good and I think it reflects the band and the EP's atmosphere as a whole", Derek said, giving me a copy of the EP. He then handed a copy to each one of the guys. "I'm keeping this one, and I feel like buying a car right now just to blast this as I drive!"
"Thank you!", we all said.
"And I already sent it to several labels", Derek said, taking a piece of paper out of his pocket. "Fearless, Rise, Epitaph... Sumerian..."
"Wow! Thank you!" Gee said. "I hope we hear from at least one of those."
"You will. I will eat my hat if you don't", Derek said, grinning.
"But you don't have a hat!", Mikey said, and we laughed.
"We gotta go. If you ever wanna visit us, you're more than welcome. This is my address. Maybe we can show you our favorite places in Jersey or something..." Gee said, writing down on a piece of paper and giving it to Derek. "And again, thank you."
We got into Gee's car and waved goodbye.

"So I couldn't find my keys and I opened my backpack and I took all my stuff outta it and I was like, crap, where are they? I could already see myself sitting on the sidewalk waiting for Gee to arrive and I put my hands inside my pockets and my keys were on the corner of my left pocket, like, here", Mikey said, pointing to the left pocket of his jacket. He put his hand inside the pocket and put it inside-out. "But I never ever put anything in my pockets, at least not in my jacket's pockets. See? Nothing"
I lay up in a bed of resistance...
I answered the call. Mikey looked at me, like trying to guess who I was talking to.
"Okay, thank you. See you later."
I hung up.
"Wow, those must have been very good news because you look exactly the same way you looked when you saw Gee for the first time", Mikey said, chuckling.
"Fearless Records!", I squealed. Mikey hugged me.
"What was that? Why you so happy?" Gerard said, walking out of the bathroom.
"Fearless Records!" We both squealed.
"Oh my God! Are you serious?"
We nodded.
"I gotta call Ray and Bob!", Gee said, running upstairs.
"I'll call Derek and Ronnie. You can call Andy and Alicia", I said, taking my phone.
"And who will call Matt?" Mikey suddenly asked.
I remained silent for an instant.
"I will", I said. "Hello, Derek? You clairvoyant! Guess what?"

Okay, I just posted this but I wrote it several days ago. I was supposedly gonna post it the same day I wrote it but I was always forgetting about it, lol. Blame Taking Back Sunday. I've been watching their videos over and over again. Especially "You're So Last Summer", I fucking love that video. It's like all my favorite stuff put together in a video. <3
