But little did I know...

Now I need to know... how old is this cd? Is that band still around? Who's that Gerard Way guy? How does he look like?

I was gonna go to my local record store but then I remembered the cd was inside a plain and simple envelope with the name written on it with black sharpie and the cd was signed, and I'm sure it's not a copy because all the bands I know refuse to sign cds that are not original because they think they're supporting piracy if they do. I googled the name of the band. Like three results. One of them was the band's MySpace.

An excessively edited photo, the faces were not really distinguishable, the extremely bright light kind of erased them. The songs from the cd I got... oh, look, three more songs! As I listened to them, I read the basic information.

"We're just 4 random guys trying to get out alive as we do what we love the most.
Post-hardcore / pop punk, New Jersey, USA."

New Jersey!

I went and asked all my friends if they knew that band. Nobody did. I was returning home, frustrated, after fifteen days searching and asking...

"HEYYYYY, WAIT!", I barely heard, but I thought it was my imagination, or maybe it wasn't but that person wasn't saying that to me. I kept walking.
"WAIT, YOUR HEADPHONES, YOUR HEADPHONES!"

I turned around. A brown-haired guy, about 15 years old, was running towards me, with a pair of headphones in his hands. Hey, those look like MY headphones.

"I thought you'd never stop. I've been yelling and yelling for a while", he said, running out of breath.
"Sorry, I didn't think you were saying that to me", I replied.
"Anyway, take them. And close your backpack well the next time", he said, smiling and handing me the headphones. "By the way, I'm Mikey"
"I'm Frank."
"Nice to meet you. You seem a really nice guy, let's be friends!", he said enthusiastically.

I smiled.
