But little did I know...
Because self-titled albums are too mainstream
I opened the light brown wooden door, slowly. Everything was dark around me. I threw my backpack on the couch and then I threw myself beside it. It was raining outside. "I think I should turn on the lights", I thought, but I was just too lazy. The home phone started ringing. I didn't want to get up and answer, so I let it ring and let the voicemail answer.
"Hi, Frankie. I'm your conscious calling... haha, not really, I'm just Mikey. Call me when you get home."
Mikey? What?! I got up but he had already hung up. I called him back. We talked a little while and then he asked me to go to his house. I took my backpack, drank a cup of coffee and then I went there.
I knocked on the door. I saw the curtain moved a little and then I heard the door opening.
"Yay! You're here! I'm glad you're here, well, I'm glad I'm finally here too. I was getting sick and tired of eating the exact same thing, chicken soup that didn't have any chicken... you should try it, I guess you might like it and tons of jelly, I already hate it!", Mikey said, really happy.
"Happy to see you're fine", I replied.
"Yeah, thunderstorms could never stop me, and neither did Matt Good! Guess what?!", he said, really excited.
"What?", I asked, without knowing what he was talking about. Now that I think about it, the song reference was more than enough but whatever.
"Alicia is my girlfriend now!", he said in a kind of squeal.
"Oh, congratulations! I wish you the best, you absolutely deserve it", I said, and I hugged him.
"By the way, don't kill me, but for obvious reasons I couldn't give the letter to Gee. I don't even know what happened to it...", Mikey said.
"No problem. I've got a plan anyway...", I said, matter-of-factly.
"Plan? Plan? What plan? What plan? Tell me, I promise I won't say anything!", he said, really excited.
"It's not completely planned yet, I only have the basic idea. I won't tell you until everything's ready", I said.
But little did I know...
Notes
I updated! Finally!
Sorry for that, I've been really busy. Tons of stuff happened to me lately:
* I traveled to El Paso by bus, and I spent like four hours "hanging out" with some friends at a parking lot... a fucking sunny day, I decided to wear two jackets, a T-shirt, jeans and my pj's to avoid carrying tons of baggage (they only allow a purse/backpack and a small bag without additional charge), but at noon it was kind of warm and I couldn't move from there because it was my first time there and I didn't want to get lost (my friends who know El Paso hadn't arrived yet).
*My flight to Dallas arrived late, so I missed my flight to NY, they had me running from gate to gate, just to tell me the flight was full and I must wait for the next one. Three hours like that. Don't forget about my heavy bags. I had to carry/drag them all over the place. Now my hands and arms hurt because of that.
*I arrived like at 2 am, because the cab driver had trouble finding the house I'm staying at.
Oh. Whatever. I'm having a blast now that I'm finally here.
Sorry for my long long tragic story, haha.
Thank you for reading, tell me what you think <3
