Coffee corner

Sass, probably.

Once Gerard had found himself seated in his former place, instead of shedding interest to the artwork lining the opposing wall, he watched as cars drove by the not-so-busy road. It probably seemed like time passed by quicker than anticipated, but it happened to be he'd become engaged in a dispute from across the road.
There were two guys, one taller than the other, and both similar in looks (all apart from them having their own distinct haircuts) sat in a car. He watched as the guy in the drivers seat became more and more aggravated with each frown the other had; his face changing with a red hue of hot rage rapidly each second. It all got too dramatic for Gerard, who was used to the atmosphere remaining calm, so boy was he glad when his coffee arrived.
"I'm no artist like you, but i can do a damn good heart," Frank stated proudly. He went to strut away, however something changed his motives, making him dive for the space next to Gerard that sheltered his body away from others. Behind the table his flame-haired customer accompanied were backs of a rowed seat that served a purpose more like a wall; separating tables from one another, they were completely different from-say- the table Gerard sat at. There were many of these that went around the edges of the cafe, although the workplace still hadn't managed to afford them throughout the entire scene.
His motives may have changed, but they were unclear. "Frank, what are you doing?"
"Has he walked in yet? If he has, don't even acknowledge me" He whispered. Nobody had come through the door in the past minute, but a faint shadow could be seen growing larger with every step. It was the guy from the car.
"My friend, Luke. He's, like, about to come in here and beat the crap outta me."
"And why would he do that?"
"He had a party about a week ago and I, uh, gave his brother a blow job then left-" Gerard watched as he spoke the last phrase quickly, sinking further down into the ground (if that was even possible) as he cringed at his own actions.
"Well, what does that have to do with him anyway, I mean-"
"His brother's only just turned 18." He looked physically sick, maybe because he regretted his actions as a 23 year old who'd come onto a high school student, or maybe because the door slammed open.
"Hey, Amy, where the fuck is Frank?!" Frank hoped that despite Amy's recent hatred for him, that she wouldn't tell. She'd become friends with Luke through Frank-back when they were friends, that is.
"What's he done now? Amy rolled her eyes but gave no information. She was intrigued but had no time to waste as the cafe would be filling up with customers soon. "Whatever you do, don't make a fuss, I've got a business here."
Footsteps could be heard approaching closer and he waited anxiously for his friend to give up searching.
By this point Luke was pacing around the cafe, looking in every hiding spot possible; he knew Frank would be hiding because he was cowardly when it came down to it. The pacing soon came to a halt though, and Frank peered up over Gerard's lap to see Luke crouched down and glaring back at him.
"I'd like to have a word with you" he spoke toneless, before forcing a quick, sarcastic smile in his (not-so-good) hiding place.
He wasn't in the mood for the situation about to arise. When Gerard walked in he thought the day would consist of friendly encounters mixed with way too much intentional flirting, but his previous, drunk actions were standing in the way now.
Frank'd been found and there was nothing he could do but face the anger that already spewed from his friend's dirty looks.
"What were you doing down there, huh, is that how you earn your money now?" Frank cringed remembering small snippets of the drunken mess he was at Luke's party. The clearest bit of the night had been when someone walked in on Frank taking off his, as well as Luke's brothers, clothes. They hadn't done much after the guy had walked in on them, but they still did 'stuff' to say the least.
"Got a call this morning from a friend, said they'd walked in on a little something." Frank knew who the caller was, although the memories were vague, and from that moment he was certain they'd tell Luke.
"Listen, I know you're pissed, but just hear me out?" He stood up when speaking.
"No. Fucking hell, y'know what Frank? I had no problem when you told me you were into guys, but then what, you thought it was okay to go to my house parties and hit on all the guys there? -Oh, but this time it wasn't just any guy, it was my fucking brother!" He raised his hands up in the air to emphasize the point. "My brother isn't a fag, okay. Get that into your stupid fucking head and stay away from him. Oh wait! You already have stayed away from him though, haven't you? It was just another one of your one night stand's and you even ignored his calls-not that I want you two calling each other anyway. He has a life ahead of him, Frank, and what do you have? The job your parents gave you because they felt sorry for you? Get a fucking life." Luke, his former 'friend' took a heavy breath and shook his head, retreating out the doorway. The very few customers that were walking in the cafe looked stunned, or unsettled by the occurrence.
"Take a break, or just go home or something before you create anymore drama, there's customers staring" Amy stopped and turned her head slightly, "oh, and when you come back tomorrow, you better be of some fucking use to me or I will tell the boss, I don't care that she's your parent."
Despite the glare that altered between the doorway Luke had walked out of and Frank's embarrassed expression, Gerard remained silent. The confrontation was embarrassing and it spread through the air like wildfire. When scoping the room for any stares, he found customers only refrained with a muffled whispering; it seemed almost intentional to not look over because they knew what had just gone down. They knew Frank had done something. They probably thought he was the bad guy, but Gerard thought different.

~
It was around 1-o-clock and the streets were crowded with rushing people. A regular stand, fairly tall in length, was filled with everything from newspapers to magazines to the latest additions of celebrity biography's among all the other advertisements that lined the city's setting. Gerard stood with the newest addition of a music magazine, although his thoughts were elsewhere. He barely visualized the colors, and it seemed something else had caught his gaze as he began making his way over to a guy stood nearby.
"Hey, you're Luke, right?" The guy looked up.
"You're the guy from the cafe."
"Yeah, uh," he almost walked away but instead, raised his voice, making a startled Luke stop his previous actions, "why did you have to do that?"
"What is 'that' may I ask and what the fuck has it got to do with you?"
"Frank. You embarrassed him and just-weren't very nice. I didn't like it."
"Oh i'm sorry, poor little red riding hood can't handle some drama? Are you serious?"
Gerard stumbled on his words, as if he had so much he wanted to say, but knew he shouldn't say them. After all, he didn't know much about Frank at all; they'd known each other barely a week.
Instead, he preached on some other topic than Frank's still-unknown personality. "You shouldn't have a problem with your brother liking a guy."
"My brother doesn't like a guy, a guy liked him. There's a difference."
There was a small pause.
"Fyi, I don't have a problem with it, my parents do, and i'm not letting Frank get my brother into shit."
"Well.."
"It's not the only person he's done this with, either, y'know. I bet he's getting to you, too, isn't he?"
Luke smirked, looking down on the mass of red hair that hid traces of an unsure look. His knees bent a little, enough to see eye level with the unresponsive Gerard. "Look me in the eyes and tell me he hasn't led you on already." Some sort of jealousy washed over him, the fact Frank seemed to pay interest to everyone but him led to some wondrous thoughts. Was there something that put people off him? He was anxious to many thoughts, but it wiped away easily with the contentment that Luke was wrong.
"Quite the opposite actually, he came across as an asshole at first. Now he just seems like a nice person and I have no problem defending someone who, from my experience, has done nothing wrong. He might have pissed you off, but you have no right to say any shit to him." Luke's smirk disappeared and he suddenly didn't want to be level with Gerard. He wanted to tower over him like he had done previously.
Gerard looked up. "Whatever your anger problems are, there's no need to take it out on Frank and your brother. OH and not only that, you disrupted the cafe."
"Is that the end of your lecture now? You look like a fourteen year old girl, but you talk like a ninety year old. If you want some advice: go back to your gay-ass shit and stay away from me."
"Well if you want some advice: keep your bad vibes out my coffee." He raised his eyebrows and shook his head a little in pure sass. It would have been a good comeback too, if Luke hadn't punched him in the face.
"You're weird as fuck. Get away from me."

Notes

Do i know what the fuck is going on in this chapter? I do not. I just really wanted to use the phrase 'get your bad vibes out my coffee' that is all.
Do i even write more of this? Fuck knows

@GeesCLUELESSgirl!
i gotta admit there was a lot on there that didn't need to be, i'm still editing bits of it all the time agh, but thanks a lot for the feedback i don't think i've got anything that helpful before this xD but i'll continue both, hopefully they turn out well!

Yeah, I have been reading the other one, but I DID get a TINY bit bogged down by it in places, and something a little lighter would be nice. I AM NOT IN ANYWAY SAYING YOU SHOULD ABANDON THE OTHER FIC, cos it's really good, and really well written.. but, for your own sanity, writing something not quite so heavy in between, would do you good! :D x

@GeesCLUELESSgirl!
thankyou omfg idk i think i'm just putting way too much time into it and it's becoming a drag, whereas this one is a bit more relaxed i guess

I do LIKE you're other fic... But already, I LOVE this one! :D x

@GeesCLUELESSgirl!
