(Noon the Next Day)
Kobra Kid’s POV

“Dr D’s got a mission for us” Party said as he came into the main room of the small diner we called home.
“Sup?” I asked half there half in wonderland
“We’ve got to go pick someone up at the park tonight at 8:45PM sharp. Maybe another killjoy” Party replied.
“Oh.” I couldn’t were they seriously going to replace Candy man, Lucky Revolver and Blue Destiny!!
“He or she’s not going to replace anyone Kobra just remember that it’s not his or hers fault okay?” He said it like he had just read my mind. I suppose but still.
“Fine”
“Thanks now c’mon we better get going!”
“What it’s only noon!” I replied bitterly a bit too bitterly oh well.
“Yeah right its 5pm!” Party noted. How had it gotten so late so fast it was like time travel or something…? “Kay” was all I said before going to my room and grabbing my jacket and gun. I strapped my gun into its holder and with a big sigh made my way out to the Trans am. I heard Dr D wishing us well before I shut the diner door and got into the passenger seat of the trans am.
“Hey!” I seriously got the fright of my fucking life but it was only Party why am I so jumpy?
“Oh hey cheez man you scared me!”
“Karma’s a bitch” He laughed bringing me back to the cafeteria at school all those years ago… His laugh snapped me out of my day dream. If it could only be like that again…
***TIME LAPSE***
(Park at 8:45pm)
“Where is this kid anyway we’re going to get seen if he doesn’t hurry up!” I whisper shouted.
“Oh shut up Kobra he’s barely a minute late so far” Party snapped back at me. I just huffed in reply and when I looked up I saw a figure quite small actually I mistook the person for a child…
“Uh… Party?” I asked realising he had not seen the figure so much for being on watch…
“What is it now Kobra!?” Party snapped
“We have a visitor moron” I replied
Party Poison’s POV
I looked up and saw the small figure standing awkwardly in front of us looking at his feet I couldn’t quite see his face though…
“Can we help you?” I asked lying lazily along a bench, ignoring Kobra sighs in the background.
“I was given a note to come here” A deeper voice than I expected answered my question.
“Oh you’re uh…” I looked down at the note I had been given “Mr Iero then?” I asked I honestly thought the figure was a child…
“Yes” he paused “I am”
“Okay” I clapped my hands together and got up and gestured for Kobra and the small man to follow me.
“Ugh”
“Shut up Kobra” I snapped. As we walked Kobra was way ahead and me and Mr Iero walked under a street light and I seen his features, his cute little button nose, his perfect green/hazel eyes and his hair how it framed his face…
“Umm what’s wrong?” he asked and I snapped out of my trance blushing. Wait what I don’t blush.
“Nothing I was just seeing what you look like I didn’t see you back at the park…” I trailed off and he giggled like a little school oh god he’s adorable. Did I really just say that??
“HURRY UP YOU TWO!!!” I heard Kobra shout. Shit we have to stay quiet Kobra’s gonna blow our bloody cover! All of a sudden a really loud alarm filled the streets of Battery City and for the first time in years I seen the scared look on Kobra’s face…
We were in a lot of shit…
