The Killjoys Vs The World

Mikey’s POV

I wake up to hearing what I assumed to be the other guys running about doing what I don’t know. I put my hand on my head realising it was decently healed. How had it healed so fast? Then Gerard burst through the door all excited oh yay here we go…
“Hey! Come meet everyone!” Gerard shouted happily
“Umm… okay?” I replied unsure of what lied ahead. We made our way into the main room of the diner where everyone was sitting even Dr D was sitting through here, he was normally sitting at his radio giving the other killjoys updates.
“Hey this is my brother Mikey!” Gerard announced
“Candy Man, little pro!” Candy replied
“What?” I asked then Gerard sent me a oh I’ve forgotten something look.
“Umm yeah we don’t use our real names here that way Korse and BLI/nd can track us and out families and friends” Gerard explained “And I’m uh Party Poison you’ll have to come up with a name too!”
“Umm okay… Let me think for a while” I replied, really? I had no idea what I was going to be called.
“Lucky Revolver”
“Dr Death Defying but call me Dr D” The radioman smiled.
“Cherry Cola” A woman said from across the room
“Blue Destiny” Another woman who was standing beside Cherry Cola said
“Cool you guys all have cool names!” I thought for a moment then randomly my name came into mind “Kobra Kid? ... With a K?” I said
“Yeah!” Candy Man and Party Poison said in unison. I smiled then coughed why? I don’t know.
“You okay little man?” Candy Man asked
“I think so and what’s up with the nick names?” I asked confused.
“Ah you’ll get used to it” Candy replied. I just rolled my eyes I couldn’t think of anything else to do and that ended with fits of laughter coming from Cherry and Candy then followed by me and Party then everyone else.
“I’ve gotta go broadcast some songs and traffic reports!” Dr D said wheeling through on his wheelchair. Why was he in a wheelchair? I thought to myself don’t know I’ll ask someone later…

***TIME LAPSE***
(4 years later)
“Hey Dr D where’s Candy Man, Lucky Revolver and Blue Destiny? I thought they went out on a mission a few days ago shouldn’t they be back by now??” I asked cautiously. That’s when I realisedDr’s sad expression.
“Kobra I don’t think they’re coming back” He said rather bluntly
“What? HOW!?” I asked I had mixed emotions they were now my family and they’re not coming back!?
“They went on a mission to BLI/nd over a week ago and it should take 4 days maximum and all radio control is dead.” He replied and sighed “I’m sorry Kobra” He said putting a hand on my shoulder. I turned on my heels and ran out of Dr D’s radio room down the hall and into the diner Party and Cherry looked up at me with puzzling faces and I let the tears come and ran outside trying to hide them. Party had obviously come after me because I heard the door close and footsteps.
“Hey! Kobra what’s wrong!?” He asked alarmed
“They’re … They’re gone Party! They’re not c…coming home!” I shouted tears now falling out of anger and sadness.
“Who!?” Party asked
“Candy Man, Lucky Revolver and Blue Destiny…” “Dr D said so…” I said falling to my knees I’d already lost my mother and my life now I’ve lost my new family… Party stood there speechless he was now fighting back tears because they were his new family too…
After around an hour of grieving we deciding to go back inside Cherry had been informed by Dr D.

“Everything will be alright…”
“Eventually”
