The Killjoys Vs The World

Mikey’s POV

There were vans and cars everywhere with a face on the side of them that read better living industries. Not to mention that there were guys in white suits EVERYWHERE. That’s when one of them spotted us he must have been the leader ‘cause they seemed to all listen to him…
“Gerard… Who are they?” Stupid question what would he know? To my surprise he gave me an answer I wasn’t expecting.
“They’re BLI/nd better known as Better Living Industries, they’re the ones that made the ‘happy’ pill do you remember the mouse cat advert??” He asked cautiously looking around.
“Yeah as a matter of fact I do that thing was weeeird” “Shit. Gerard they’ve spotted us what’s gonna happen?” I asked my heart now thumping at 100 miles per hour.
“I don’t know…. I’m sure it’ll be nothing bad…” I could tell he was lying Gerard was the worse liar in the world but I knew he was trying at least. The man who we now know as Korse came to us thinking we would cooperate and take his ‘happy’ pills. Gerard quickly whispered in my ear
“Put them in your mouth and spit it out later” The man gave us the pills and we took them but we didn’t swallow we just made it look like that I was actually surprised he didn’t check to see if we had swallowed them or not. That’s when I saw her, our mother she stood out like a sore thumb all red in the mass of white, I let out a small cry for I knew she was dead…
Gerard grabbed my arm before I tried to run to her because he knew something I didn’t. He lied to cover it up though although he had a point.
“Mikes no stay here we must pretend we are drugged remember” he whispered. I wanted to cry I know he did too but he wouldn’t for me.

Gerard’s POV
Our mother was dead and if Mikey ran too her he would be dead too this Korse was powerful no one dared cross paths with him in the wrong way no one apart from the Killjoys…
