Gerard’s POV
The next morning we go to visit Mikey again, taking the first two periods off from school. The nurse tells us that he will be discharged in about three days, depending on his condition. Apparently he also got a concussion when he hit the ground, which is worrying. It’s nothing major but he will have a headache for a few days and possibly a little trouble remembering exact events. He’s recovering well, though he still seems out of it when he talks to us and tires easily.

When Frank and I return to school we get a multitude of curious and disbelieving stares. An audience quickly swarms around us, preventing us from going to our next class. Rumour had spread quickly that Frank and I brutally murdered my father once we saw that Mikey was shot, or something equally gruesome. I joke that I would have liked to and Frank laughs with me, but the onlookers’ faces grow even more shocked. I try not to worry about them, instead attempting to focus on my work. That doesn’t really go all that well and I end up spacing out, letting my thoughts wander.

Nobody interrupts me until Ray nudges me in the middle of class, bringing me back down to earth. He has a troubled, sympathetic look on his face. It is identical to the same one’s I have been seeing painted on other’s faces all day, though somehow I'm not annoyed by him wearing it since I know he actually means it.
“You alright, Gerard?” he asks softly.
“Yeah, just thinking…” I trail away. “Thank you, though.” I add when he turns back to his work disappointedly. Completely out of the blue, I squeeze him into a tight hug. He protests with a disgruntled noise.
“Are you gay or something?” he chuckles, earning a light punch on his arm.
“Shut up,” I giggle.

I get through the remainder of the day relatively unscathed. In seventh period I am delivered a slip requesting me to visit the counsellor but I screw it up and throw it away. The teacher delivers me a dirty glare which I elect to ignore; I have enough shit to deal with.

When the final bell rings I release a massive sigh. Frank and I walk home together, both of us keeping an eye out for suspicious movements. Thankfully we both find our way home with no incidents.
“What do’ya wanna do?” Frank asks me.
“I don’t know…Cuddle and watch TV?” I reply lightly. He smiles victoriously.
“Sounds good to me,” he giggles.

We flick on the TV to the afternoon cartoons and spend about half an hour watching ‘Teen Titans Go!’.
“I reckon you’d be Raven,” Frank turns to me once the episode has ended.
“What?” I squeak.
“You’re both so emo!” he laughs.
“Okay, fine. You can be Beast Boy then, since you’re so pathetic.”
“Beast Boy isn’t pathetic!” he yelps. I chuckle at him.
“Okaaayyyyyy,” I draw out.
He narrows his eyes at me. “Fuck you,” he mutters under his breath, purposefully just loud enough for me to hear.
I lean over and ruffle his hair, placing a kiss on the tip of his nose.
“Wanna take a nap?” I ask.
“Gladly,” he responds contentedly.

I haven't updated in four days what the heck
School keeps getting in the way of everything >:(
Apologies for all the dialogue-heavy chapters recently, I don't know why I keep writing them like that but if I try not to add to much dialogue it sounds disjointed and weird?? Anyways.
