Aaron Way felt his jaw drop as he looked at the building in front of him. When he'd first heard about Ansers, he'd expected the school to be this old fashioned building but it was anything but that. The buildings were modern looking and splashed with colour. The courtyard was littered with students lazing about. Some were playing instruments or doing homework whilst others were just talking to their friends. The brunette had expected the school to be strict and and very straight forward. Instead it was laid back and had a good vibe about it. Hell! There wasn't even a uniform.

Aaron took in everything with a critical eye as he walked with his Dad and Lyn-Z to the main office. The black haired boy sat on one of the chairs outside whilst his parents talked with the headmaster. The hallways were mostly abandoned seeing as most students were still in their lessons. The only son of Gerard Way wondered what his life would be like at the school. Would he fit in? Would he make friends? How different would it be to his old school?

"So, you're the newbie, huh?" He was snapped out of his thoughts by a rough but feminine voice. Aaron's eyes shot up to look at the person in front of him. She was pretty tall with pale skin. Her hair was dyed white in a pixie cut. Her eyes were a brown colour that made him think about his uncle Mikey. "I'm Runa. You are?" In all honestly, she scared him.

He held out his hand for Runa to shake. "I'm Aaron. Aaron Wa-" Before he could finish speaking, the door opened and out walked his father and stepmother. The white haired girl's entire stature changed. Whatever friendliness she had shown before was now gone

Runa narrowed her eyes and sneered at him. "Oh. You're his son. I should of known really. You look like him and your piece of shit uncle." He was surprised at the amount of venom in her voice. What was her problem with his family?

His cherry haired father was quick to defend his brother "What the hell is wrong with Mikey? He's a perfectly decent person!"

The scary girl laughed, "What's right with him? He can't even look after his family properly!" Runa scoffed. "Whatever. I'm late for my bass lesson."

There was a sigh behind Aaron. "I'm sorry about Runa. She's not had the best of years. She's a very bright girl but just had the tendency to lash out." The smooth voice of the young headmaster called out behind him.

Aaron sighed as he looked around his dorm room. His roommate had yet to turn up but if the amount if books and comics were something to go by, he was probably going to be some nerdy geek.
The sixteen year old began to unpack his stuff. The grey eyed teen placed a large Sherlock poster above his bed. Gotta love the British and their TV shows. He then took out some photos of him with his family. There was one in particular that made Aaron grin. It was him, his Dad, Uncle Mikey, Uncle Frank and Uncle Ray after having a snowball fight. Ray had snow in his afro.

He turned to face the door as someone walked in. "I'm Cade McGraphe. You're Aaron, right?" A blonde haired boy wearing a hoodie smiled at him. That wasn't what he was expecting his roommate to look like.

"Yeah. It's Aaron. Aaron Way." He stuck out his hand for him to shake.

Cade shook his hand. "Way? As in Gerard and Mikey Way?" He laughed. "Runa is going to hate your ass!"

Aaron sighed and sat on his bed, "I've already met her. What's her deal? I was nothing but nice to her and she just starts slagging off my family!"

The blonde ran a hand through his hair. "Look, she's had a hard year. After Maria...Runa just hasn't been the same, it's messed her up pretty badly."

He raised an eyebrow. "Who's Maria?"

The blonde boy frowned. "It isn't my story to tell. Ask Chris Blake. That is, if he'll even tell you. Be careful with it. It's a touchy subject and don't mention her to Runa." Aaron made a mental note of everything Cade said. He'd have to find Chris Blake to unlock the first puzzle in the mystery that was Runa.

To say he was homesick would be an understatement. As Aaron sat in the school canteen, his thoughts drifted to home. Hd hadn't even been away for 24 hours and already Aaron missed everything abut it. Playing with Bandit. Teasing Frank about his height. Playing video games with Ray and Mikey. And most importantly, his Dad. As cheesy as it sounded, his Dad was his hero. Gerard away inspired so many people to not kill themselves and stay strong. He wanted to be just like that.

He noticed a girl, who was of obvious Chinese decent, walking towards him. "Hey, do you mind if I sit here? You look a little lonely."

"Oh! Sure!" He gestured for her to sit down.

The girl smiled at him. "I'm Clara Lee. And you are Aaron Way, son of Gerard Way, lead singer of My Chemical Romance and Cade's roommate.

Aaron just stared at her, stunned that she knew so much. As if sensing what he was thinking, she shrugged. "News travels fast around here."

They spent the rest of the evening talking and he found out that she never saw much of her father because he ran a large company in Hong Kng, her mother ran a law firm in New York and she was a violinist.

Aaron couldn't help but smile. It was nice having a friend.
