Mr. Way - Frerard

GERARD'S POV

It was my third day working at Belleville High School, and two days after my moment with Frank. This was the first time I'd had his class since then, and he'd be walking through the door any moment. Anxiety ate me away while I wondered if it would be awkward after what happened a few days ago.

When Frank was the first to arrive, I was simultaneously elated and terrified. "Hi," I greeted him quietly, showing a small smile. When he smiled back at me, I felt like an Iero-sized weight had lifted off my chest.

I walked over to his desk. "What have you been working on?" I asked, burning to see his work. He flipped open his sketchpad to reveal several beautiful drawings. I couldn't stop a small smile from forming on my face.

"You like 'em?" he asked, sounding shy.

"I love them," I replied, slightly awestruck. As I was examining the ink that was spread across the page, I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. "You have tattoos?" I asked.

Frank pulled his sleeve down, looking embarrassed.

"Can't I see?"

"I tend to keep them hidden," he said, but pulled up his sleeve nonetheless. I could immediately tell he had designed them. I lightly traced the curling lines with my finger, and I met Frank's eyes, getting lost in the varying shades of colour, ranging from light brown to vibrant green. Just then, we heard a group of girls draw near to the classroom, and I rapidly took a step back before they could see us.

I went over to welcome the girls, and as I was speaking to them, looked over at Frank and we shared a knowing smile.
