Get Me The Hell Outta Here

Chapter One: A Tint Of Sadness

Her smile has been haunting me for days now, I don't understand how she could be happy all the time. Anyone of us could die right at this very moment, yet she still smiles as if nothing in this world could rain on her parade.

Her name is Charlotte, she doesn't talk she just smiles. It's always the same smile, I believe some of the other guys here are beginning to wonder if she is insane. I haven't had a good look at her to notice if her eyes show the exact happiness that her smile portrays or if they show a girl who has had a tragic life full of despair and hatred causing her to weep furiously until the sobs turned into laughter, laughter which would make the parents believe that their once sweet and loving daughter has been driven into insanity.

I've read her file, no one can keep them hidden from me, Charlotte has been diagnosed with mania. Because of her smile, hey I'd believe it too. But I don't, because things like a smile doesn't mean that you're sick. She's hiding something.

"Okay Gerard, time to get some fresh air," Hecht says trying to move me from my comfy armchair in the library. "No Hecht," "Dr." He cuts in, "no Dr Hecht I will not be joining you and the others outside because Frank is out there waiting to take me with him." I say and he sighs, "Frank isn't here anymore Gerard." I shake my head furiously and Hecht walks away in defeat. I internally smirk at my victory before looking over at the door where Charlotte walks inside with the closed mouth smile on her face.

"What are you doing here?" I ask and she jumps in fright, the smile not falling from her face, "I mean why are you not outside with the others?" She taps her finger on her chin before writing in her small notepad in delicate writing.

'Because it would be easier for the monsters to find me outside, much like Frank.'

I stare at her wide eyed, how does she know about Frank? "How do you know about Frank?" I ask and she writes once more.

'Xavier tells me everything bad in the world, everything about everyone. I just know everything.'

I stare into her green eyes hoping to find happiness, her eyes looked frightened with a tint of sadness, "what are you so afraid of?" I ask and she looks around the library before staring at the chair across the room, as if someone was there staring at both of us.

'I can't tell you, you might tell others and then the people you tell could tell Xavier that I've been leaking information.'

"Who's Xavier?" I ask, "is he the one you are afraid of?" She shakes her head, her mass of curly hair covering half her face in the process.

'I've said to much.'

Notes

So this is majorly inspired by A Splitting Of The Mind which ruined my life.

I hope you enjoy the first chapter!
