Gives You Hell
Sometimes you're better off alone
Gerard was lying next to Lindsey, in her bed. They were pressing small, sweet kisses onto each others lips until Lindsey started to get frustrated. She tugged at the front of Gerard's shirt and pulled him on top of her. She crushed her lips against his, holding onto the back of his neck, keeping him close to her.
"Hmf, Lindsey" Gerard groaned and ran his hands up her legs, settling on her waist. She shifted slightly under him and tangled her fingers in his dark hair.
Gerard suddenly jumped away from Lindsey when he heard a loud guitar sound screeching from outside.
"Are they fucking serious?" Gerard felt his face burn from anger as the guitar carried on screaming.
"I'm going to kill them, I fucking swear" Gerard pushed himself off the bed and stormed to the front door, pulling a pair of shoes on.
"Gee, please don't, just ignore it, they'll stop soon! Gee, please?" Lindsey begging him, tugging at his arm, trying to stop him. But he carried on, storming out the house and towards the guitar sound.
Of course, he found Frank Iero standing there, two huge speakers either side of him, a white guitar in his hands. His head was down, and he was staring at the guitar strings, concentrating on the song he was playing. Or attempting to play. Gerard pulled the plug from his guitar, silencing the awful noise.
"Hey, what the fu-?!" Frank was interrupted by Gerard grabbing the front of his t-shirt and pushing him back against the wall.
"What the fuck are you playing at, Iero? It's almost midnight and you're playing your god damn guitar? Some of us are trying to sleep!" Gerard kept his grip on Frank's t-shirt, lifting the smaller boy off the floor a bit. A small smirk made it's way to Frank's lips.
"Oh, c'mon, Gerard. I know you weren't sleeping or even trying to sleep" the lazily smirk was still spread across Frank's face as he watched a dark red blush creep across Gerard's cheeks.
"T-That's none of your business, I still don't want to hear you playing your fucking guitar" Gerard hissed and leant closer to Frank, their faces so close. Frank took a deep breathe in, suddenly aware of Gerard's coffee and minty scent.
"Hey man, calm down, i'll stop playing, just let go of me, yeah?" Frank surrendered, holding his hands up to Gerard.
"Good," Gerard drop Frank and watched him nearly fall to the floor. Gerard's eyes met Frank's and he felt a bunch of butterflies swarm his stomach. He felt himself get angry at this feeling Frank was giving him and glared at the slightly frightened looking boy in front of him. He turned around quickly and almost ran back to his house, slamming the front door shut.
Gerard's eyes fluttered open and he looking around the room. His eyes settled on the window, he stared out at the morning sky. The sun was still coming up, and the sky was a light pale pink, blue and in some parts, purple colour. He then shifted his eyes to Lindsey's bed, suddenly feeling worried when he noticed she wasn't there. He sat up quickly, instantly regretting it when he temporarily felt dizzy. He recovered and got out of bed, yawning and stretching before he wandered into the kitchen.
"Linds?" he mumbled and rubbed his eyes. Lindsey was sitting at the kitchen table, fully dressed. Her hair had been straightened perfectly. She had dark red lipstick on. Gerard frowning slightly as he watched her take a sip of orange juice.
"Morning, Gee" she grinned at him and took another sip of her drink.
"You going out?" he questioned and slumped into the chair across the table from Lindsey.
"Yeah, unfortunately. I was called into work again, i'm sorry baby" Lindsey gave Gerard a guilty look.
"Oh no, honey, it's fine. I understand" he smiled at her, trying to make her feel less guilty. Lindsey was a PA (personal assistant). Gerard didn't actually know who for, but it meant she was always called out to do random jobs for them at random times. Which was a pain sometimes, but it was her job and she enjoyed it, so Gerard never complained.
"Well, i'll see you later" she stood up from her chair and leant across the table, kissing Gerard gently before waving him goodbye and walking to the front door. Gerard listened out as the door opened then closed again. He sighed to himself, feeling slightly fed up.
By the time the clock read ten in the morning, Gerard was sitting in his front garden, reading the newspaper. He had dark sunglasses on as the sun was beaming down. He had a light, pale pink shirt on and a baby blue sweater vest on over the top. A striped tie, the same shade of pink and blue, was lazily hanging around his neck and tucked into the vest. He had cream slacks on. He glanced over his newspaper and saw three boys leaving the house next door. None of them were Frank. They all had suitcases in their hands, and were heading towards the car in the driveway. He then noticed Frank walking out behind them, with no suitcases. The tall, brown haired boy pulled Frank into a hug and slapped his back. The afro guy then hugged Frank, then the black hair boy. They waved and climbed into the car without Frank.
"Cya man!" one of them shouted out the window as the car pulled out the drive and down the street. Frank carried on waving until the car had disappeared round the corner. He stayed standing in the drive way, his hands in his pockets. He glanced at Gerard and laughed to himself. Something about Gerard obviously amusing him. Gerard set his newspaper down and pulled the sunglasses off his face.
"Something funny, Iero?" Gerard asked, surprising Frank. He wandered closer to the smartly dressed man and looked down at him.
"Those colours are so..." Frank frowned, trying to think of a word to describe them.
"Girly." he finished, laughing to himself. Gerard simply rolled his eyes and pushed the sunglasses back onto his face.
"So where are your friends going?" Gerard asked casually, wondering why everyone but Frank had left.
"They're going to see their families, you know, because families are great" Frank laughed bitterly.
"And why aren't you seeing your family?" Gerard questioned and looked up at Frank.
"What family?" Frank laughed again, awkwardly looking up at the clouds.
"Oh, sorry.." Gerard mumbled. Not knowing what else to say.
"So uh, where's ya wife?" Frank asked, pushing his hands back into his pockets.
"Work" Gerard answered bluntly, picking the newspaper back up.
"Uh- I know this may sound weird or whatever, but um, I don't enjoy being alone I guess... Um-" Frank scratched the back of his neck, desperately trying to speak but failing.
"Do you and Lindsey wanna come over later? For a drink or somethin'?" Frank bit his lip nervously, realising how silly it probably sounded. He watched a smirk cross Gerard's lips and he nodded lightly.
"Sure, why not" Gerard answered before standing up from the chair. He looked down at the dark haired boy. Gerard could see Frank's emerald eyes through his sunglasses, but Frank couldn't see Gerard's hazel eyes, which kind of bugged him, because Frank actually liked Gerard's eyes. The only decent thing about him are his eyes. Suddenly something came over Frank and reached up to Gerard's face, pulling the sunglasses off him.
"That's better," he mumbled to himself, finally gazing into Gerard's perfectly hazel eyes. They carried on staring at each other for a few more seconds until Gerard shook his head and snatched the glasses from Frank.
"See you later, Frank." Gerard grumbled and walked back into his house, closing the door heavily. Frank stayed standing, staring at the front door for a bit before he wandered back to his own home.
