Blood
Blood blood blood, pump mud through my veins
It was supposed to be a typical day at Marysville. Quiet, calm, and free of bullies. But today, everyone spoke only of the new kids. Apparently they were really hot. I hadn't seen them, but my best friend had. She was gushing about Frank. I have to see it to believe it.
I walked into my English class, and saw the most beautiful human being. I couldn't help but to stare a little. He sat by himself, infatuated with some drawing. He didn't seem to notice that every girl was staring at him. Including me. I felt immediately ridiculous because he caught me staring. I tried to play it off, but it was obvious. He studied me for a second, but lost interest and looked down again. Mrs. Carter, the English teacher, came in and clapped loudly.
"Okay. Everybody sit down. Let's discuss the book report." she anounced. I glanced at the guy one more time before I pulled out my notebook to doodle.
I became lost in my own world, imagining being with this stranger. I ended up drawing Pokemon and Kellin Quinn. I added a mustache to Kellin for fun. I tried not to look at the guy. I managed thirty minutes. Finally, I looked.
He saw me, and glared at me with his hazel eyes. I looked down at the ground, but swore I saw him smirk. I didn't dare look up though. I felt his eyes on me, watching me. I felt pathetic and small. I guess someone as perfect as him has that affect. I knew he was trying to make me feel uncomfortable because he didn't want to catch me staring again. But I watched him from the corner of my eye. He was satisfied with himself. Charming.
I finally made it to the end of class. The bell rang, and his gaze broke. I felt tempted to ask why I was his victem. But I didn't want to admit I was staring.
"Hey Red! Next time take a picture. It'll last longer." he laughed as he exited.
"I could say the same thing to you." I scoffed. He gave me a look, then made himself seem superior. He walked away, making me wonder why I thought he was hot.
