The Highways I Call Home

Frank arrived at the coffee shop the next day, but Gerard wasn't there. He paced outside for little, then ordered a coffee and sat facing the window. His eyes scanned the streets, focussing on every car that looked even half similar to Gerard's, but each time he'd see the driver and it was never Gerard. His heart felt like he'd dumped it into his scalding hot coffee.

Hours passed, and he has downed about three coffees. Why the hell hadn't Gerard showed up?

Then a car similar to Gerard's pulled up and an exasperated young man entered the shop and bounded towards Frank.

"Frank, oh my gawd you're still here! Oh, Hunny, I had applied at a store yesterday and I got the job but it took forever they told me that in order to keep it, I had to work a small shift in the morning. I think it was just bull crap but I did it and Im so sorry I-"

Frank was smiling the whole time and interrupted him with a big kiss. "Hey, Gee, it's okay! You got the job!" He kissed him again and sat back, flashing a huge grin.

"Yeah, but damn! I'm sorry you had to wait so long."

"Hey, hey, it's fine. It wasn't your fault," Frank kissed him again. "Now, how about you get a coffee and we celebrate? "

Gerard looked at him curiously and was given a wink in return.

An hour later they were at there secluded beach and Frank was face down in the sand and Gerard was thrusting into him hard.

"Good.. celebration.. huh?" Frank exclaimed between thrusts. They rode out their orgasms and Gerard collapsed in the sand next to him.

"Yess," Gerard mumbled, gently caressing Frank's chin and pulling his lips to his.

Frank nuzzled his head into Gerard's neck and they cuddled on the beach until sundown.
