The Killers Around Us (ON HOLD)

Once the king entered the room, I was going to run but Gerard held me tight.
“Tell us why we are here?” he asked. The king smiled.
“I had a wonderful idea that you two will set an example. I want to start putting vampires and humans in the same society once the people are fully killed and get different humans to live here. So I was thinking why not start with my son and his human,” he explained. I looked at Gerard.
“Why me and not Mikey?” That’s when I saw a guy a little younger than Gerard wearing glasses.
“Because humans fear me just the same as you,” he said. I hug close to Gerard.
“But oh what is this you found a human?” he said.
“What is it to you?” I said snapping at him. Mikey growled and Gerard growled back.
“Now boys…Behave we have a young lady with us,” he said referring to me. They stop.
“Now let’s talk about what we will do with both of you. I think you will have public marriage and see how that is with the people. I think this should work just fine, don’t you Donna,” he said. I assumed that this woman was their mother.
“I think that should be fine,” she said. Gerard and me were taken to a beautiful room and clothes were laid out for us.
“Are you okay, Gerard?” I asked.
“Yeah how about you? I’m sorry that you are being dragged into my family,” he said. I was somewhat okay with it.
“Yeah I’ll be okay.” We got a shower and got dressed. The dress I have to wear was black, strapless and like a ball gown. On the front was a red bow and red heels to match. Gerard was wearing an all black suit and red tie with black dress shoes.
“Why are we wearing this?” I asked. He looked at me and hugged me.
“Tonight is the annual ball. People especially nobles will ask you questions about being in The Yearly Killings. Answer honestly, alright. Also tell the truth about the poor town you came from,” he said as guard then came to escort us.
“Now entering the next king Gerard Arthur Way and his human fiancé Akari Rose Lee from the vampire feeding town, Bleeton. Everyone gasped but I myself that it was funny. We walked down the stairs and I smiled like a normal person.
“Oh dear…” one person said.
“She looks like Dahlie…” one woman said. I froze. I pulled away and went to her.
“How do you know Dahlie?” I asked. She freaked out. She pointed across the room to a woman with long black hair with red streaks in it. There was a man next to her about her age. Could it be? By this time Gerard had come over to get me.
“You know Dahlie?” he asked. I nodded. He walked me over to them. Was it them and if it is then why leave me?
“Oh my, Gerard you have a beautiful fiancé,” Dahlie said, until she looked up and the man looked up as well.
“Akari,” they said togather hugging tighter than ever. Everyone was staring by now and the king had come over.
“Dahlie, what is the meaning of this?” he said. Her face turned to anger.
“Akari is my daughter!” Mom yelled hugging me. Everyone was silent. Everyone went back to party for me and Gerard while we all talked it out in the throne room.
“Mom why did you and dad leave me alone?” I asked. They looked at each other.
“It’s because we are vampires, honey. But the thing is that you are not. This is why you didn’t grow up near the kingdom but either way we still loved you the same,” she explained. I hugged them both. I was happy that I wasn’t in the kingdom without knowing anyone. Gerard hugged me too.
“Are you two really okay with marrying each other?” My father asked. We both nodded. My parents smiled and congratulated us. We all went back to the party with some many questions to be answered by me. But thankfully Gerard was there to help. But the end we kissed for everyone to see and this time people actually cheered for us. But the thing is that the wedding will be in the next two days. Well I guess 18 isn’t too young right…right?
