Give Me Blood

They were sitting like this, in each other's arms, for almost half an hour, feeling content in the silence and each other's presence, until Frank finally spoke up.
'Tell me what's up, Gee, please' he said in a worried tone of voice. Gerard sighed, letting go of Frank, looking down at his shoes.
'I miss you', he breathed 'And the band. So much.' Another tear escaped from behind one of his eyelids and he shook it away, angry at himself for crying like this.
'Hey, it's okay', Frank whispered, laying his arm back around his shoulders and kissing his temple lightly. 'I miss it, too.' 'But look at you, you're on tour again, you're successful without us'. He wanted to say 'without me' but didn't want to sound that selfish. Frank shook his head softly.
'Yeah, I like where I'm at, but with you guys I had the time of my life and I miss you all so much, but it was our decision and we can't take it back. It was the right thing to do, you know that. Gee, we were going downhill, all of us, there was no other option at the time. It pains me to be away from you. Really, it hurts. But I don't regret a thing.' His voice sounded sad but firm and Gerard knew that what he had said was the truth.
'Look, Gee, you'll be going places with your New album, too. Your very own music, no one else's. Aren't you excited? Well, I am! ', he went on, a smile growing on his face. 'Have you shown any songs to Mikey yet? I love the singles! You could always show me your music, you know? I'm your number one fan!' He giggled excitedly, causing Gerard to smile, too. Frank could always cheer him up, even in his darkest of times he would always be able to make Gerard feel better and paint a smile on his face.
'Actually, I've got one song. I was meaning to show it to Mikey. It's called 'brother'.' For some reason, he blushed at that.
'Do you really want to hear it? It's nothing like yours...' Frank cut his rambling off, stating that he was sure the song would be amazing, causing Gerard to blush again and take out his phone, on which he had saved the song. As the first notes began to play, Frank lay back onto the couch, closing his eyes and listening intently, a small smile appearing on his face as the song progressed. It sounded so much like Gerard, it made him happy.
Eyes still closed, he opened his arms for Gerard, who happily lay down next to him, snuggling into him with a smile on his own face. When the song was over, Frank kissed Gerard's cheek, sweetly and they continued to just lie in silence until they both drifted off to sleep.
