Because I'm Broken

Is There Something That I Need To Know

*a week later: officially 2 months after the breakup of the band*

Gerard's POV:

"Well?" Frankie asked impatiently. I had called him out of work early to tell him my idea. I'm regretting it. I should've thought this through. I'm going to seem like a hypocrite. I sent the tweet. My idea would look weird next to that fact. Here goes nothing.
"Frankie," I said. His hazel eyes stared at me. I was shaking, on the verge of an anxiety attack. "Frankie, I think we should try to get the band back together. We can call a practice and test it out. One last time." I knew Mikey would be on board. Ray would probably agree to test it after everyone else jumped on the wagon. Frank stared at me like I had just confessed murder.
"Geebear, baby, I- I don't know, I mean, I guess, but-"
"Just one practice." He sighed.
"Sunday at 10 AM, like usual?" He asked. He was leaning towards a "yes", I could see it. I nodded.
"Okay. You call Mikey and I'll call Ray." Excitement rushed through me.
*after calls were made*
"Mikey said yes. Multiple times, actually."
"Ray said he'd be down for a second try." I nodded. It was all coming back together.
*Sunday at 10 AM*
We were all sitting at my kitchen table. We had played three songs from each album, and were now discussing how we would bring ourselves back.
"We have to make sure that we talk to each other more. We lacked communication a bit," said Frank. We all nodded our agreement.
"We could shorten our tours a smidge," I suggested. "So we could have an extra week at home each year."
"That would give us a week and three days at home every year," concluded Mikey. We all nodded.
"I'd be cool with that," said Frank. Bless his soul.
"Alright," said Mikey.
"Works for me!" Ray said.
"We could tour with a wider variety of bands," said Ray. "A post-hardcore band, an alternative-indie style band, you know, mix it up." We all agreed to this.
"Bringing back a bit of the horror factor would be nice," I said. "Mix in comics, bring back a bit of that punk rock feel we had in Three Cheers."
"Yes please," Frank said, and we all laughed. He beamed at me. I returned the smile. My Chemical Romance was coming back.
