Not Good Enough

Gerard's POV


Gerard loved this movie, and he was so glad Frank did too. Frank...he'd scared him off the last time they tried to watch a movie together so he made sure to sit still and not attempt any sort of snuggling this time. Frank had just been sitting there quietly with a faint smile on his face.

Oh, here came Gerard's favorite part! He mumbled it to himself under his breath as Kili said it.

"...no, you cannot be her. She walks on starlight in another world...." And then: "Do you think she could have loved me?" It was just so fucking cute, he couldn't deal with it. Just as he was about to comment on it, though, a weight on his shoulder surprised him. He looked down and found that Frank was leaning against him, head on his shoulder. He smiled, tentatively wrapping an arm around him. When Frank just shifted closer, Gerard grinned widely, watching the rest of the movie while holding Frank close.

When the credits rolled, Frank stood up and stretched. "I should probably head home."

Gerard nodded, glad that this time he knew Frank was telling the truth about having to go. He walked him to the door and waved goodbye before realizing he still had homework to do.

About an hour later he was finally finished and just about to go to bed when the doorbell rang.
