Not Good Enough

Frank's POV


Waking up in Gerard's house was a strange, but not unpleasant, experience. He had woken up to Gerard's school alarm and had initially just been generally confused about what was going on, but it became very clear when he saw Gerard still asleep next to him.

Now, as he sat in math class, trying to ignore the other kids whispering behind him like they always were, he couldn't help but think he'd said some pretty stupid shit last night. Of course Gerard didn't like him like that. And if he did...he probably liked him as a girl.

The kids behind him were starting to get annoyingly loud, and he was about to turn around and tell them to shut the fuck up when he heard Gerard's name.

"...Gerard denied it but it was pretty fucking obvious." He didn't recognize that voice...another new kid? And they knew Gerard?

"Oh my god, that's almost worse than hearing your parents doing it!" Ugh, definitely a voice he recognized. Some cheerleader named Stella or something.

"Yeah seriously, I mean, be a fag if you wanna but don't be so fucking loud about it, right? And the funny thing is it turns out the guy was just using him for sex." The owner of the voice laughed, and Stella laughed with him. "My poor brother actually thought he loved him." Wait, what? Gerard had a brother? Frank vaguely remembered him saying something about that.... Poor Gerard though, no one deserved to be used like that...least of all Gerard. But this also meant that Gerard was definitely not straight, which was good for Frank. Maybe there was hope after all.
