Study Buddies
Monday.
Gerard's POV
Almost nothing worse than Mondays. Nothing except the first day of school, and unfortunately, today was both. Gerard Way sat on the bus, scowling at the scenery going by. Squished against the window by two sophomore girls talking to their friends in front of, beside, and behind them. He was surrounded. Fucking buses.
It finally pulled to a stop in front of the school and Gerard jumped out of his seat, pushing the two girls across the isle and into their friends. Their perma-smiles didn't falter for an instant. He shuddered as he walked quickly to the front door of the school. It was fucking creepy the way they interacted with each other. Not that he could talk. Two years of going to this school and he still hadn't made a single friend. Probably because he hung out in a practically abandoned hallway down near the art hall and never spoke to anyone.
He sat down in his usual spot, right next to an old storage closet, pulling out his sketchbook and flipping past all the weird drawings to a blank page. There he drew a boy who looked remarkably like himself with a fed up expression on his face, and a gun to his head. Across the top he draw a banner and wrote 'First Day Of School'.
It was only a quick sketch, and almost as soon as he was done the bell rang and he got up, checking his first class. Math. Fucking great. Rushing to the classroom, he bumped into a kid with black and white hair, apologizing quickly before they were both pushed away by the sea of students trying to find classes. He thought back in his mind, trying to remember the guy's name. He was sure he'd seen him before but the name was escaping him. Oh well. He shrugged and opened the door to his math classroom, effectively entering hell.
Notes
Sorry for the short chapters, but I have a good reason, I promise. I realized that when I write shorter chapters I'm more motivated to continue the fanfiction so yeah. Enjoy <3
