Never Let Me Go

I look at my schedule and I have math first. My least favorite subject. When I walk in, I take a seat in the back corner and the guy from earlier takes a seat in front of me. The teacher calls out a name "Gerard" and asks a question and the boy from earlier responds. I guess Gerard is his name.

A little later in the class I see Gerard and his friend whispering quite loudly. Im bored so I listen in and I hear Gerard say "did you see that new emo kid? " and his friend responds "ya. I think he's a total fag". They both laugh and I feel my face get hot. My head drops as I realize what's coming this year. It was the same at my last school hearing the same words being yelled to me every day "emo! Fag! Ugly! Fat! Worthless!" stupid things like that.

After that class was over I felt a hand push me into a locker and somebody mumbled "faggot". And so it begins. I have every class with Gerard until lunch. As I'm walking to an empty table, Gerard slaps my lunch out of my hand. " Aww. Did I upset the emo? " he says in a mocking voice and then he walks off. I clean up my lunch and spend my lunch at the empty table staring at the table and drawing little patterns with my fingers.

I have 2 periods with Gerard after lunch and he keeps giving me dirty looks. At the underlying of the day, I'm at my locker when he comes over and pushes me into my open locker and whispers in my ear "you are a worthless, fat, ugly, emo, and this world would be better off without you". He walks a few steps and opens his locker when his friends come over and they start taking to him. I reach my hand up to my forehead and see blood and there is blood on the corner of my locker. I run my fingers through my shoulder length hair and cover the bleeding spot with my hair.

When I get home my mom asks me how my first day was and I say it was alright. Total lies, but it's better then telling her the truth. I have tons of homework so I put in my headphones and turn the volume up all the way while I do my homework.

While I did my homework, I couldn't really pay much attention to the music or the homework. All I could think about was what happened earlier with Gerard. Usually bullies dont bother me but something is different this time. I have no idea why though.

once I'm done with my homework, I'm exhausted. I've had a long day after all. I fall asleep and don't even bother changing out of my clothes.
