I'm Not Okay

"Don't worry baby I'm on my way," I heard her running around through the phone, "Do you want me to meet you guys at the hospitality at your house?"

"My house, can you give peanut and I a ride to the hospital?"

"Of course baby, where's Gerard and Mikey?"

"Their parents are in town and they leave tomorrow morning and he wanted to see them before they left."

"Ok sweetheart, I'm on my way."

"Okay, I'm gonna go grab my overnight bag. Bye love you."

"Love you to baby." She said before she hung up.

I took a deep breath before going into the twin’s room and started to pack some of their clothes, when I had Bryce Gerard and I didn't bring a pair of clothes for him to take him home in and the hospital got kinda mad. I got little Gee and purple onesie and a matching flower bandana and little Frankie a pink onesie with a matching pink bandana as well. I also threw in some fresh diapers, a few bottles, and a couple of baby blankets. Since there was still some room in the bag I put some of my clothes into it, plus my wallet. I had just zipped up the bag when my mother rushed into the room.

"Are you okay?" She asked as she came by my side and put her hand on my extremely large stomach.

"I’m fine, can you get Bryce and put him in his car seat and take this?" I asked.

"Sure thing." She said and took the bag and slung it over her shoulder and left the room.

I took a deep breath before pulling out my phone again to call Gerard.

"Everything okay babe?" He asked when he answered.

"Nope," I said as I got another contraction, I gripped onto the railing of one the cribs and squeezed the shit of it. "Gee it hurts." I cried into the phone.

"Tell me what's going on; you're starting to worry me."

"I'm in labor, my water broke."'I cried out in pain again, "Gee the girls are coming and it really hurts."

"Fuck! Don't worry Mikey and I are on our way, call your mom."

"I did, she's here and she's gonna take Bryce and I to the hospital, we'll meet you there okay?" I said as I started to move out of the room and down the stairs where my mom was waiting with peanut in her arms. "I'm gonna call Dr. Shannon okay?"

"Okay babe, I love you, don't worry I'll be there soon." He said, I returned his I love you then hung up.

My mom put Bryce in the car and took the driver’s seat while I sat shotgun and pulled out my phone again.

"Hello Frank.” Dr. Shannon, "Let me guess, you're in labor?"

"Oh Dr. Shannon, you know me so well." I said then we both laughed, my laugh although was cut short because of another contraction.

"Alright Frank, I'm actually on call tonight so I'll have a nurse meet you by your car with a robe and a pillow, she'll put you in a wheel chair and take you to your private room okay?"

"Sounds great, see you soon." I said then hung up.

When we got to the hospital there was a nurse waiting with the things Dr. Shannon said she'd have, the nurse gave me a warm welcoming smile and helped me into the hospital. Thankfully there weren't many people in the waiting room so I didn't get a lot of stares. Once I was in my patients clothes Dr. Shannon came in to look at everything.

"Well Frank, these two are coming today, I'll schedule a C-section for as soon as possible, unless you want to push?"

"No I want a C-section again, how long do you think it'll be until we can go in the operating room? I'm still waiting for Gee." I said and started playing with my thumbs.

"The soonest we can do is two hours, plenty of time for Gerard to get here; and if Bryce gets fussy we can bring in some toys if you would like."

"Two hours is great!" I said then leaned back against the bed and began to rub my stomach.

"Is that an engagement ring I see?" She questioned.

“Yeah.” I said and blushed.

“Well I wish to the both of you and all of your children. I’ll be back when we’re ready for you.” She said then left.

***** Twenty Minutes Later*****

“Hey baby, how you doing?” Gerard huffed out as he rushed to my side and kissed my head.

“I’m having two babies at the same time, what do you think?” I asked as I curled up in the bed, these pains suck.

“It’s okay.” He said as he rubbed my stomach, “Just think, by the end of today we’re gonna have three babies.”

“No more.” I said then groaned out in pain. “I don’t like labor, it hurts.”

“I’m sorry baby.” He said then kissed me.

“So how were your parents?” I asked.

“They were pretty pissed that I had to leave but I told them to suck it. I said that you called to say the twin’s mom went into labor and we had to drive out to get them. My dad wished us the best and wants me to call him when they are born and my mom told me to tell you congratulations.

“Well that was nice.” I said; I was kinda shocked by that.

“Well after I told her to suck it, Mikey cut me off and told her off and defended us and the kids and told her how much of an ass she was being.”

“Aww that was sweet of him” I said.

“Yeah it was, he’s still with them but he’s gonna come by a little later. So how much longer before I meet my girls?” He asked.

“Another hour and a half, when they come how are we going to know which one is Giovanna and which is Francesca?”

“When we see them we’ll know.” Gerard said then kissed the side of my head.
