Just Try To Act Professional
Gerard had been bawling his eyes out because I went to a fast food joint instead of his favorite ice cream palace, Hershey's. I pulled the stolen fedora off my head and ran a hand through my hair. This was going to be a long day, I could tell.
"Frank!" he squealed, pointing to the menu billboard. "They don't have coffee flavored ice cream!"
"No, they don't." I agreed firmly. Gerard bobbed his head out the window, eying all the items on the billboard. He returned to his normal position and sighed dramatically.
"Frank. Listen to me," his tone was slightly serious. "Please."
I straightened my back and turned to his focused eyes, colorless in dismay. Gerard's small lips frowned, which broke my heart a little. He seemed so happy to see me when we met, and now he was like this. Did I do this?
"I'm listening..." My voice came out dark and sort of creepy. I grinned lightly and changed my tone. "I'll always be listening."
"Let's just go, and it'll be better there." There? What was he talking about?
"Where?" I asked, curious.
"To Hershey's."
Gerard gets stranger by the minute? Wow! And I thought he was strange already! ;)
