For Every Heart You Break

*Eternal Mikeys POV*

It was awkward and nerve wracking to be in the room with Raven. We had to soon enough leave when my brother was being moved to the psyche ward. He begged to not be moved but they had to, it was that or putting him in an asylum.

I let out a sigh hugging him and Frank goodbye making my way outside quietly. It was painful to just leave him bit it needed to be done. I leaned against the brownstone drawing in a ragged breath and turning to Raven who stood staring into the distance.

"Do you want a ride?" I asked her and she just nodded. I felt nauseous at the idea of being in the car with her. I also couldn't just leave her. She was certainly beating herself up about it enough for both of us, she was shaking and hugging herself and I actually felt bad for her even though I knew I shouldn't.

For a while their was a silence and the whirring of the wheels, until she exhaled as if she would speak and turned to me her lip trembling.

"I...I'm sorry" she muttered looking down.

"I know" my voice lacked any emotion but I didn't care.

"I..I was smashed and I missed you and I...I'm sorry" her voice cracked at the end.

"I've been talking to your brother, he said you've been drinking a lot lately, I want you to go to AA" I stated affirmatively and she once again just nodded. "Do you want to come home?" The last bit hung in the air as she bit her lip. I knew she felt like she didn't deserve forgiveness, and she didn't particularly, but I felt like I needed to.
