The Adventures Of Frank, The Perpetually Angry Teenager
The Adventure of the Shitty Conversation
I sit at my desk, finishing up a sketch. I'm not so good at lines, but I'm excellent with colors.
"So that's why you're popular..." I mutter to myself, looking at the finished drawing of Gerard. "It's those colors. The passionately red hair, the ocean blue coat. It all makes sense now. But you're too punk for them. I can tell."
Gerard just didn't look like a popular kid. And he didn't seem happy around them. Suddenly I'm very curious. Why does he hang around them if he doesn't even like them? I almost make it my mission to figure it out, but then I remember that would probably mean asking him about it and that would be so uncool of me. But maybe...there's another way...

Just as I had expected, Gerard finds me again at lunch, even though I switched spots a second time. I take the chance.
"So, what's the popular kid doing following around the school loser?"
"You're not-I...what, I can't hang out with someone at lunch?"
He regained his cool pretty quick, but he had lost it for a second. I just shrug. "You have better things to be doing, Gerard. Like, I dunno, hanging out with your friends.
" I don't have any!" He covers his mouth with his hand.
I raise an eyebrow. "Hm? You have tons. You know, the ones who are always talking to you."
"Y-yeah." Damn it, he closed up again.
I give him a look, finishing up my lunch. "Wish I had that many friends." I comment casually.
He just stands there chewing his lip. I've obviously found something interesting. I guess I'll have to wait a little longer to figure out exactly what it is.
