Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys

I crawled on top of the Trans Am that Blu had retrieved that fateful day and looked down at the hood of the car. There was the symbol of hope, faith, and and strength. The Killjoy Spider. That symbol reminded us to stand up for ourselves and fight. And we needed that reminder right now
"Today, we fight" in shouted into a loud speaker. "It's time we take over. It's time we over throw those assholes at Better Living, to take over Battery fuckin' City! To get our heroes back!" I was met with a loud cheer from the killjoys. "It's time we finally control our destiny. Its time we fuckin' win and take what is rightfully ours!" More cheers erupted, and that brought a smile to my face. "Do not let them take you alive! OPERATE ON ALL PISTONS!"

The sounds of yelling and ray gun fights surrounded me as I rode my bike into the heart of Battery City. I pulled up to the famous bridge where the original battle occurred. There were no Dracs or Exterminators in sight. But, it wouldn't be long until someone knew we were here. I parked the bike in the middle of road, and climbed off.
"All clear" I said into my ear piece I had built. These were similar to the radios I had used to talk to Poison four years ago, but I had remodified them to work better and be smaller. In fact, mine is attached to a small stud in my earring. Within moments, the trusty old van pulled up. The side door rolled open and out hopped Girl and Show Pony.
"Are we ready?" I asked, pulling on my killjoy mask.
"Yeah." Girl replied, strapping the computer across her body in its bag.
"Are you ready?" Show Pony asked me.
"It doesn't matter. I just need those boys back" I said. "I need to make sure everyone in the zones are safe."
"Then let's go." Blu said, stepping out of the van and walking past me. Girl shrugged toward me and ran after her. I shot a final look to Show Pony and smiled.
"Someone's gonna die" I said.
"Be happy its not Radio Rash"
"I'll be see in' you, Pony"

Girl had already plugged Blu into the main frame of the S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W unit's main frame. I could see her figures typing fast, and watched as her eyes scanned the screens. Blu being hooked up to the computers meant that all the information we needed was being downloaded into her hard drive. I was actually quite proud of Girl. She had trained to be one of the best hackers in the zones, and she was able to take care of things. I was even more proud when I watched her pull her ray gun from her holster and fired at as Drac, without looking to her left, where the Drac was coming for.
"Well, I can see I trained you well." I smiled.
"Yep." Grace replied, not even looking at me. I pulled my ray gun out of my holster and turned the saftey off.
"How long now?" I asked
"She's almost completely downloaded." Suddenly, Blu sprung to life and smiled at me.
"Everything is ready" she said.
"Good. Everyone got your radios?"
"Yep!" Girl smiled, pushing her hair back behind her ear to show off her red ear piece. Blu smiled and simply tapped her ear, turning on her radio.
"Okay," I nodded. "I'm gonna find the guys. Remember, I need you both to help me find the guys. As soon as you find wherever they are, let me know"
"Got it"
"Be careful" Blu said.

The hallway was white, as I had expected. and there were no sounds besides the ones my old combat boots made. I was going through the building, and I was ready to fight if I needed to. I hadn't been stopped by any Dracs or Exterminators, and I was especially happy that I hadn't seen the new DESTROYAs.
"I looks like the main testing room is on the third level" Girl's voice said, coming through the radio.
"Do you think that's where they've been housing the guys?"
"Possibly." She replied, "We won't know until you get in there."
"Let's just hope she doesn't run into anyone." Almost like a sick sign, a short figure stepped in at the end of the hallway. It was a DESTROYA.
"Spoke too soon" I replied. "Blu, scan 'em"
"On it" she replied. I didn't really need to have her scan him. I knew it was Fun Ghoul. He was dressed in all black, still had his long hair, and shiny black leather jacket.
"Hello, Dolly Pop" he said.
"Well. If it ain't good old Fun Ghoul" I replied. "How are ya buddy?"
"I'm dead."
"Good. You look great for being dead."
"and you will too," He replied.
Suddenly, he pulled out a katana. How he knew how to use a goddamn sword is beyond me, but all I knew, was that he was coming at me at almost super human speed. I jumped up in time to dodge his attack, and managed to kick him in the back. That knocked him over onto his knees. He stood up quickly and ran back at me.
"Fuck! " I exclaimed, hold my beamer up to block his attack. "Blu! Grace! A little help!"
"Hold on! We're workin' on it!" Grace shouted. I pushed Fun Ghoul back and balled my hand into a fist, throwing a punch into Fun Ghoul's jaw. This caused him to stagger.
"You bitch!" He shouted, running back toward me. He lifted his sword and swung. I dropped down to my knees and missed the sword by a hair, before I stuck my leg out and kicked him to the ground again.
"Shoot him in his head!" Grace exclaimed.
"What!" I exclaimed.
"Set the ray gun to stun and place it under the chin and at the base of the neck. It'll reset his brain and make him normal again!" I quickly reset my gun to stun him. Before Ghoul could get up, I climbed on top of him and punched him in the jaw again. I placed the gun underneath his chin, sending a jolt of energy into his body.
Before I could do anything, Fun Ghoul began to shake. It was almost like he had a seizure. He shook so violently that I had to stand up and hold onto his head.
"He's having a seizure!" I yelled, hoping that there was something we could do. I didn't want him to die.
"It's his brain rebooting," Blu responded.
"It doesn't feel like it" Then, the shaking stopped and Fun Ghoul opened his eyes slowly.
"Dolly?" he asked.
"First, are you planning on killing me?"
"No"
"Are you a DESTROYA?"
"A what?"
"Did Korse..."
"I want to kill him"
"Ghoul! I exclaimed. "It fucking worked!"
"What worked?" he asked, slowly sitting up.
"I reset your brain! I fucking reset your mother fucking brain!!!" I smiled, throwing myself onto him and squeezing him tight.
"Ow!" he grunted. "You're hurting me!"
"Sorry" I replied, pulling back. "I need you to get to the S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W office. Girl is there. I need you to..."
"You left her alone?" he started, getting mad.
"Before you become Mr. I'm-gonna-be-an-asshole, it has been four years and the kid is fuckin' stronger then ever. Besides, Blu is with her." From the distance, the sounds of running feet filled the room.
"We've got some company" He said.
"I need to find the others."
"Level three. They should be there"
"Let's go" I said, pulling Ghoul to his feet as I stood up.
"No, you go." he replied, pulling a white blaster from his belt. "I'll take care of this"
"Here" I said. From the inside of my leather motorcycle jacket, I pulled out a different blaster. It was his ray gun from before he died. The green monster itself. His eyes lit up, and a wide, toothy smiled appeared. It was like when a kid gets his dream Christmas present or something. He took it from me and handed me the katana.
"The aftermath is secondary." he said. "Find them"
I nodded to him, and turned to run out of the hallway to the nearest elevator. We were so close to finding our friends. I just hoped they would turn on me now.
