I slowly walk around the store for another opening, sneezing as I go in and I felt the toxicating smell of drying paint. This store was quite new, painted all red and neon as fuck. Coming from the dark mall walls it hurt my eyes. I put a bit of my hoodie on my cheek. I rubbed my eyes and looked around seeing a few teenage boys on computers, one guy with brown hair tucked into a beanie and thick rimmed glasses sorting some books in the Drama section.
I saw that guy "Gerard" if that was his name, had walked away from the girl in anger and walking to the guy with the thick glasses. He said something that made him laugh, I felt like a had a huge stone in my stomach. What the fuck Frank,
the man sure had some handsome features. But you haven't even talked to him, I rubbed my cheek and winced in pain. I saw that I caught Gerard's attention. He turned away from the man and walked towards me. I felt my heart pumping,
"hey there little guy," he said in a sarcastic matter.
Wow, what an ass, I looked at him angrily I hated getting picked on for my height. "Nah sorry man, are ya okey?" He asked, I looked up in his eyes. He was right in front of me, I backed off a few steps. "O-oh, no sorry, I only came here because... The store seem kinda new and..." I blurted out. "Well yeah, the paint... It sorta sets off the whole store,
it's way too bright" he said and laughed.
"I have to agree with that one" I said and laughed. "Are you new to New Jersey?" I asked.
He just laughed "nope, been here my whole life"
I nodded and smiled, "never seen you before though, what's your name?" Gerard asked. "Frank Iero" I answered a bit too loud, "mhm. Hey Frank Iero, I'm Gerard Way"
he said in a seductive voice. Which lead me to blush. Wow, I'm attracted to a total stranger, way to go low Frank, way to go. "So you like comics?" Gerard asked passionate, "oh yeah I haven't found any good in a while though!" I answered, lying a bit. I didn't know shit about comics."You seem like a guy who would
like something like something like Catwoman or old school Batman." He said looking through some sections of thick comic books. I just nodded and looked at him, wow,
he was perfect. Except that height joke, that made me pissed off. He had a perfect nose, perfect skin, perfect eyes, perfect hands. I didn't focus but he put out a book, it looked like a 70's Batman comic book. Which it probably was, 34$ dollars... Shit.
"I-I'm sorry, I don't really have the money for that"
I said and look down on my shoes, they were a bit dirty,
shit. I probably looked like a homeless thug.
"That's okey Frankie, it's on the house, you know, if you give me your number?" Gerard said and smiled.
