All Those Years and I Never Knew

2 a.m.
A pebble hit my window.
"God damn, not again..." I got up and opened the dusty glass to reveal a lanky, dorky teenager standing on the driveway.
"Come on!" he called from below. He pushed up his thick glasses and smiled.
"Mikey, this is getting out of hand..." Despite what I vowed the previous night, I climbed out the window onto a trellis and jumped. I landed on my hands and knees, scraping them slightly, and the boy came to help me up.
"Nice to see you, Lucy," he said as he pulled me up.
"Damn, Mikey, why again? Tonight?"
He gave a grin. "I'm sure you could ask yourself the same question. You're the one that jumped out of your window to meet me."
I looked down. His gloved hand was still in mine, which was covered partially by my green sweater, so I quickly let go and shoved my fists into the pocket of my faded jeans.
Mikey led me to his car and we drove to the pier. For the third time this week, we say on the benches and watched the water. He had brought a deck of cards, so we played a few games. I had already won ten bucks, a cup of coffee, and his sweatshirt.
"Okay, Lucy, if you win this next game, I'll take you to a dinner of your choosing. If I win, however, you have to kiss me."
I gave him a lopsided smile. "Sounds like a romantic advance." He chuckled and looked down. "And you'll win either way. But I like my chances. Start saving up; I'm in the mood for fancy shit."

Okay, new story! I don't know about this one, but I think I'll just experiment with it(:
