Just Look at All That Pain

Frank ordered a beer and stood at the bar. It was busier than he expected but he was hoping he would be there long. A few minutes later, Jamia walked in. She looked awful. She had a black eye and there was a cut on her bottom lip.
“Oh my god. What the hell happened,” Frank said put a hand on her shoulder. She to a step towards him and hugged him, without answering him.
“Do you want a drink,” he asked, pulling out of the hug. She ordered a beer and they walked to the back of the bar, where it was a bit quieter.
They sat there for a moment when finally Jamia broke the silence. “I don’t really know how else to say this, but Frank, can we get back together,” she said with a tears streaming down her face.
Frank had thought of all the possible reasons for this meeting but that definitely wasn’t one of them. He sat in shock for a moment before saying, “Im with Gerard n-“
“I know, but will you please just think about it. For the girls? They miss you, I miss you.” She looked so sad and so desperate, but why? This wasn’t like her at all.
Frank looked up and noticed two bald men sat at the bar watching him intently. They quickly turned away once they noticed he had seen them. He could have sworn he had seen them before but he couldn’t place them. He turned back to Jamia, who was obviously waiting for him to say something.
“It’s getting late so I think I'm going to get going. It was nice to see you though,” Frank said as he stood up. He quickly pulled some money out of his pocket and put it on the table in front of his ex-wife.
“Frank, wait, pl-“
Talk to you soon, ok,” he said quickly as he walked back towards the front of the bar. He glanced behind him to make sure she didn’t follow him. Instead he noticed the two men at the bar again. One had his back to him while he could have swore he had watched him the entire time.
