Just Look at All That Pain

"Wait, what," Gerard questioned as the taxi pulled away from the curb.
The traffic wasn't heavy but it had started raining as Mikey answered, " Sorry Gee, but I just want to make sure you're ok. This is tough and I want to make sure I'm not going to find you dead one day, because that's where you're heading and you know it."
"Mikey, I'm not going to kill myself. Is this because of the letter," Gerard snapped.
"No. Its because of the 39 empty bottles of alcohol I just cleaned out of your apartment," Mikey said sternly. "Mom and Dad think this is the best option as well."
"You told fucking Mom and Dad? What are you four years old?"
"Gee, this is serious."
"Don't fucking 'Gee' me. I'm not going to some mental hospital. I'm not fucking crazy," Gerard yelled as the taxi pulled up to a stop light. Gerard yanked open the door and disappeared behind a group of people on the sidewalk before Mikey could stop him.
"Damn it Gee," Mikey yelled after him.

"Fucking mental hospital... fucking bullshit," Gerard muttered to himself as he headed down the street to the nearest subway station. He weaved his way through the masses of people and headed to the park where they found Frank's car.
Half an hour later, Gerard followed the stairs back up to street level. It was raining harder now. He pulled the collae of his t-shirt tighter around his neck, but it didn't do much. He cut through the park and found the car pretty quickly. The sun had set a while ago but he was still able to make out the outline of the car behind the bright yellow police tape. He ducked under it and made his way over, unsure of what he would find.
The car was empty but unlocked. He pulled the driver's side door open and leaned inside, looking for anything that the police might have missed. He looked up after searching the glove compartment, and he could have swore he saw someone standing there. He did a double take but no one was there. He kept looking as the feeling that he was being watched crept over him.
