Never Let Them Hurt You

I stared after the strangely beautiful man as he left the room. Annabelle. I liked it. Why'd he name me though? He didn't care about me. He's my owner. He wants to kill me, torture me. I could already tell he wanted to do that by looking around the room. There were knives and other weapons hanging on the walls, and there were small cots spread around the room. I walked over to one of them. The sheets were stained in dark red blood. Someone must have bled out on this one. I cringed and backed away from the bed. I sat down on the floor and buried my head in my hands. This is it. My final days. In here. I guess I was just going to have to accept it. My side hurt from where he kicked me, and I aches all over from being stuffed in that crate. Then suddenly the man came back into the room.
He stared down at me for a while, probably thinking of ways to hurt me. "Clean one of these beds. Take your pick, it's yours now", he spat. "I'm going to make dinner for myself. Don't expect much for you", he added sharply. I nodded and kept my head down, moving to one of the least dirty, not-so-bloodstained beds. I took the sheets off and stuffed them under the bed. There wasn't anything to clean it with so I left it like that, flipping the pillowcase inside out. I sat down on the bed and crossed my legs. To my surprise, the man was still there, staring at me with his oddly gorgeous eyes. I stared back up at him, furrowing my eyebrows. "I-I'm Gerard", he said quietly. His face hardened up again. "Come on. I have stuff for you to do", he said, his voice getting sharper. I followed him through the huge house, wondering with slight fear what he was going to do next.
