Even Heroes Get The Blues

"Should I like...go after him or something?" I asked as I motioned to the front door. Mikey shrugged a bit and looked to me.
"Yeah sure, if you'd like," Mikey said.

Right after that, I was running out the door and saw Gerard leaning against the brick of his house, taking a long drag of his cigarette. He scoffed and rolled his eyes when he saw me.

"Hey..." I whispered.
"Hiya," He said quickly and breathed out almost perfect smoke rings.

I walked towards him slowly and propped myself up against the building. He didn't seem to care, just took another break of his cigarette.

"I don't know why you're mad at me..." I sighed and looked up at Gerard.
"What do you mean you 'don't know' How could you?" Gerard asked.
"How could I what?" I replied.
"Don't play dumb," He said and took another breath. "Oh, you really don't know, do you?" Gerard asked and cocked his head to the side.

I took a deep breath of the cold outside air and shook my head, closing my eyes, only to open them to look at the brown-ish yellow ground.

"You cheated on me, with Mikey," Gerard explained.
"I did what?!" I yelled. "No no no, baby, I promise I would never do anything like that. I love you," I sighed. "Who told you?"
"Just some kids at school, like they're in my art class..." Gerard said.
"Rule number whatever of Belleville high, don't listen to anyone who you don't know well enough," I said and chuckled, kissing Gerard's cheek before leading Gerard back into his house.

We walked to his room and I launched myself onto his bed, pulling the blankets over me and waiting for Gerard to do the same. He walked over to me slowly and smiled weakly before sitting next to me. I wrapped my arms around him and pecked the corner of his lips quickly.

"You gotta believe me, I didn't do it," I said and moved myself so I was sitting in Gerard's lap.

Gerard nodded slowly and closed his eyes before pressing his lips to mine.
