Summary
A physically abuses girl finds refuge from her abusive father in her creative writing teacher, Gerard Way. She thinks he's different, but will he turn out to be just like everyone else?

Enter Frank. Short but only in stature, this loudmouth has a tendency to enter at the wrong times and ruin things for other people. Will Gerard's ex become Laila's new enemy, or will he finally move on and let Gerard lead the life he loves?
Gerard Way
Tall, dark, handsome, but also the teacher. He leaves Laila in a perplexing situation as he teases her and disregards her in one breath. Is he really different, or will he turn out to be just like her father?
Laila Harper
Still feeling like the new girl after three years at one highschool, when she meets Gerard everything changes. Will she escape her abusive father or be dragged into another abusive relationship?
Mikey Way
Gerard's kid brother, he's only a junior, but very intuitive. He knows something's up with Gerard, but figures he can handle it himself. He didn't know that might've been his biggest mistake.
