You're Beautiful To Me

We lay in silence for a few minutes until our breathing returns to normal before Frank climbs off the bed and leans down, scooping me into his arms and carrying me to the bathroom. We both get in the shower and wash each other in between kisses and when we finally pull ourselves out we dry off and go into the bedroom to pull on pyjamas. Once we're dressed I take Franks hand and lead him out of the room again and into the kitchen, grabbing the abandoned bag of takeout on the way. "So I bought dinner before...." Frank looks at what I've bought and smiles wide as he says "My favourite, you just continue to get more and more perfect babe." We share another small quick kiss before Frank starts reheating the food and I grab spoons and forks and we end up on the couch, cuddled up together watching crappy tv while we eat straight from the containers.

The next day I have another doctors appointment and Frank takes me, holding my hand the whole time and the doctor tells me everything looks great. After we leave the office we head over to the practice space and Anna and I settle on the couch as the band practices. I lay back with Anna laying on my chest and all too soon my eyes drift shut and I fall asleep despite all the noise. Frank wakes me some time after and I blink a few times to clear the sleep from my eyes to find Anna being passed around the band, letting out delighted squeals and giggles as they pull faces at her and she grabs handfuls of hair and beards. "You feeling ok beautiful?" I nod and slowly sit up, "Yeah, just exhausted." "Oh baby why didn't you tell me I could have taken you home first." "No I wanted to be here, I'm sorry I fell asleep." "Don't be sorry, come on I'll get you home and you can go back to sleep." I let Frank help me up before he leaves my side and takes Anna back, carrying her back over to me and he leans down to grab her bag before straightening up and saying "Alright guys we're out." "Aww man I thought we were getting drinks?" "Gees not feeling well so I need to get him home" he tells them and I shake my head as I say "He's just dropping me and he'll meet you guys there ok?" "Awesome" exclaims Bob, the drummer. "No, I'm...." "He'll be there, have a good time guys." They call goodbye as I grab Franks arm and lead him out of the room and outside the building. "Baby I'm not...." "Yeah you are, I'm tired, not dying. I'll be fine, go out and have fun babe." Frank smiles wide at me before leaning in to put Anna in her car seat and I climb into the front seat, waiting. Once we get home Anna is asleep so I put her in her crib and walk into the bedroom to find Frank laying on the bed. "Get your butt up and into a clean shirt and go." "No babe, seriously I'm staying here to take care of you." "I'm a big boy I can take care of myself, seriously you should go." Frank huffs out a sigh and climbs off the bed as I climb on and I snuggle under the blankets as I watch him dig through the closet for a shirt. After a minute he finds a nice button up shirt and puts it on, turning to me and saying "How do I look?" "Like you'll be beating them off with a stick." He giggles and comes over to lean down and kiss me. We kiss for a minute and when it starts to get heated I pull away and say "Alright now go have fun babe." "I'll be thinking about you the whole time." "I'll be here when you get back" I tell him and he smiles and leans in to kiss me one last time before he leaves the room and a few seconds later I hear the front door shut softly. I lay staring at the ceiling for a few minutes before I let my eyes drift shut again and I'm asleep within seconds.
