Crash The Cemetery Gates
Your Misery And Hate Will Kill Us All
As the rising sun began to illuminate the small town of Belleville, Gerard groaned and rolled over to check the time. 5:27. He stifled a yawn and pulled his duvet cover over his head.
Great, he thought, Looks like I wont be sleeping again any time soon.
Sighing, he hauled himself out of bed and made his way down the stairs, being extremely careful not to wake his slumbering family. He rummaged through the cupboards, the sleeping dust encrusted under his eyes made it difficult for him to see clealy. Finally, he found what he had been looking for - a box of Coco Pops, nestled neatly upon the top shelf. A tear crept from his eye as he grabbed the box; memories of his mother came flooding back. She always had Coco Pops in the mornings. She said they cleared her head.
Yeah, well i wish they would clear my head. He grimaced as memories of that fateful day flashed through his mind in quick-fire succession.
Eventually, he gave up fighting it, and allowed the flashbacks to play inside head. His heart began beat faster as he recalled his mother’s death.
*14 months earlier*
The sky began to darken as they drove down the long, deserted roads and grey clouds were forming overhead, but even the thought of rain couldn't dampen his spirits. Gerard chuckled to himself as he watched his Mum and Dad argue. Ordinarily, he hated watching them fight, but today he didn’t mind. His Mother winked at him, and he knew they were only joking. Anyways, who could really have a serious argument about Coco-pops? He laughed out loud, and both his parents turned around, eyeing him curiously.
“What are you laughing at, huh?” his Dad asked, pretending to be angry with him.
“Uh..I-u-uh….nothing,” he replied nervously. His face turned from pink to green to white all in the space of a few seconds, and sweat soon laced his brow. Although his Father rarely lost his temper, when he did it was…terrifying to say the least. His words were like needles piercing into your skin, and his eyes narrowed to mere slits of hate, staring coldly at you as if you were vermin.
Suddenly, his father started laughing, and Gerard realised he was only joking. He loved when his Dad played jokes, even though he was usually the butt of them. They always made everyone laugh, and whenever things got a little heated he was able to clear the tension just like that.
He snapped back into reality when he realised the voice inside his head was talking to him once again. Shame he never cracks any jokes now. Even a smile is rare in this house, the voice sniggered, but he ignored it, and focused his thoughts on the flashbacks once again.
“Dad, where exactly are we going?” he asked, curious as to where they were taking him.
“It’s a sup-” His father started to answer him, but the question had distracted him from his main concern- the road. None of them were prepared for what happened next. The last thing Gerard saw was his mother fly through the windscreen, screaming for help as a truck slammed into the side of them. Then everything turned black....
Notes
Hey guys! I am so sorry, but i accidentally deleted my other story -_-
I really am an idiot. In return, i made another one, so don't get too mad at me! I think this one has a much better story-line, and the chapters are going to be a lot longer than the other ones, so yeah :D Enjoy fellow killjoys, and let me know what you think in the comments.
