You Can Cry All You Want To, I Don't Care

I hear the fight escalate and something gets smashed as one of the guys yells out "Frank stop, dude come on" and a lot of grunting and struggling sounds out before it goes silent for a few seconds and then Frank screams "Get the fuck out before I kill you. Don't you dare touch him, he's mine." The sound of the front door opening and slamming closed sounds and then Frank yells out "Get off me" and his footsteps sound quickly as he runs back down the hall and drops to his knees infront of me. "Baby are you ok?" I nod slightly as he gently guides my hands away from my face, my nose still bleeding but not quite as heavily. I slowly raise my head to look up at him and gasp when I see his lip slightly bleeding and his cheek red and slightly puffy. "Frankie" I groan out as I reach out for his face before remembering my hands are covered in blood and lower them again. "Don't you worry about me, is your nose ok?" "I don't think it's broken" I groan out and he nods before standing up and helping me up, wrapping his arm around my waist and helping me out into the hall where the guys are still standing, a lamp that was on the hallway table laying smashed on the floor and when they see me Ian's eyes widen and he says "What the fuck?" "Jake" Frank says before ushering me into the bathroom, sitting me on the closed toilet and grabbing a clean wash cloth, wetting it and gently cleaning up my face, my nose having just stopped bleeding. I wince slightly as he bumps against my nose accidentally and he apologises and pulls his hand away. When I'm fully cleaned up and I've washed my hands Frank asks me if I'm sure I'm ok and I reassure him before he says "Baby are you staying here tonight or going back home?" I shrug, unsure of what I'm doing and he says "Please stay?" I nod in agreement and we head back into Franks room so I can change my bloody shirt and we rejoin all the guys in the living room, hanging out and I watch them play video games.

The next morning Frank and I get up early, Frank having work and I have a class and when I stumble into the bathroom to shower I groan at my reflection, my nose swollen and dark marks are obvious under my eyes. I step into the shower and a few minutes later I hear the door open and I panic for a second before remembering that Ian is at work already and it can only be Frank. "Babe?" I call out and Frank chuckles and says "Yeah it's me baby, mind if I join you?" I pull the curtain back, offering a silent invitation and Frank quickly strips off and joins me, finally taking in my face. "Oh baby" he says softly as his hands come up and his thumbs gently swipe across the dark marks under my eyes. After we wash ourselves we dry off and get dressed, me borrowing some of Franks clothes and we eat breakfast together quickly before heading out the door and it's just like it used to be, starting our day together and then parting ways on the street with a soft lingering kiss, Frank heading to work and me heading to classes. I spend the whole day smiling despite my sore nose and black eyes and after my last class for the day I run into Bert on my way back to my dorm room. "Shit Gee what happened to you?" "I got punched" I tell him and he frowns before saying "By who?" "Franks ex." He stands there not really knowing what to say and I take a deep breath before saying "Look Bert I....Frank asked me to marry him yesterday and I said yes and I know we kinda had the start of something but I really love him and I hope we can still be friends?" Bert continues to stare at me for a few seconds before saying "Wow, um congratulations I guess" stepping in and pulling me in for a hug. "And of course I want to be friends" he adds and I smile wide as I say "Thanks Bert."
