You Can Cry All You Want To, I Don't Care

ONE YEAR LATER

"Gee I....I can't breathe, is this normal?" "Mikes it's ok, just focus on taking big deep breaths. You're going to be alright I promise, once we get out there I swear all of this panic will seem so silly." "I'm doing the right thing, right?" "I can't answer that Mikes, only you know what's right for you. But you want this right?" "I do, I really really do." "Then I think you just answered your own question." Mikey smiles and nods before turning back to the mirror, smoothing his clothes down and fixing his hair one last time and when he turns back to me I reach out and straighten his tie, checking my own appearance in the mirror before taking Mikey's hand and leading him from the room. Once we get out into the hallway we see dad approaching us and he reaches out and pulls Mikey into his arms and whispers something in his ear and Mikey nods, clinging to him before they pull apart and Mikey looks a little calmer. "Ready?" I ask softly and he nods and shoots me a smile and I grab his hand again, squeezing for support as the three of us make our way down the hallway, soft music echoing down the empty space, getting louder the further down the hall we get until we are at the right door and Mikey looks at me one last time, squeezing my hand tightly and I squeeze back as I shoot him a small smile and nod, conveying silently that he can do this. Mikey turns to dad and nods and dad slowly opens the door, grabbing Mikey's other hand and the three of us enter the small room full of people, a clear path down the middle of them and Pete is standing at the front of the room, a massive smile on his face as we slowly walk across the room towards him, stopping a small distance away as we both hug Mikey one last time before letting him go and he walks the rest of the distance to Pete, Pete immediately reaching out and grabbing his hands and they smile blindingly at each other. Dad and I step back into the crowd, Frank stepping forward and slipping his hand into mine and I squeeze his hand as the celebrant starts speaking. Twenty minutes later Mikey and Pete have exchanged vows and are now married and everyone hugs and congratulates them as they make their way through the crowd.

As the reception starts Franks band take the stage, giving a shout out to Mikey and Pete before starting to play and everyone starts dancing, me dancing with Ian, dad and Mikey while Franks on stage and once the band finishes their last song the DJ starts playing music and Frank comes out to find me in the crowd, his arms wrapping around my waist as a slow song starts and we dance, sharing soft kisses as we move together. "Have I mentioned how much I love you recently?" Frank whispers in my ear and I sigh softly before saying "Not in the last hour, no." He lets out a small chuckle before pulling back and staring into my eyes. "I love you so much sometimes I fear my heart will burst. I get butterflies in my stomach every time I look at you. When I hear your voice I can't help but feel all warm inside. I love you with everything I have Gee." "I love you too baby, more than I ever thought was physically possible." I lean in and rest my forehead against Franks, staring into his eyes as he stares back and we continue to slowly move together to the song playing, not really paying attention to the crowd around us, just getting lost in our own little world as we focus on each other, sharing a soft smile we only share with each other, finally happy together.
