Hey Mr. Way

I ended up not getting back to my math homework, or any more of my homework I had. It was now 10pm and I couldn't be bothered finishing it, my teachers will just have to deal with the fact I haven't done it, they can give me a detention if they want to, I don't care.
Although, I know my mum will care. And she'll probably get pissed off with me and not let me out to Gerard's -or as she thinks 'my friends place' - as much as I want to.
'' Frank, are you asleep yet? '' my mum called, snapping me out of my thoughts.
'' Uh- yeah mum, '' I called back sarcastically. I heard my mum tut at me before saying, ''can I come up? I need to speak to you. ''
I sighed and said yes, not bothering to get up to help her or anything. What does she wanna talk to me about now? The same thing about before?
She climbed up the ladder and up through the door in the floor in less than twenty seconds, then came to sit next to me on the bed as I bothered to actually sit up rather than just lay there.
'' Now Frankie, I just wanted to tell you that maybe...maybe you aren't okay. You might not want to tell me what's going on at school, if there is anything. I know you told me there's nothing going on but...from a young age I noticed you can be secretive when you want to be. It's okay Frank, you can tell me anything, you do know that, right? ''
I just don't understand my mum sometimes. How can she possibly think I'm gonna tell her stuff that's been going on when I didn't even tell her when I was chased down the corridor by Tyler who had a knife in his hand? If I didn't tell her about that, then I'm obviously not gonna tell her about anything else.
'' Mum, I said already- I'm fine! '' I replied.
'' Okay, well I'm not going to keep nagging at you about it. If you're sure you're okay...well then fine, but I just want you to tell me if anything does happen, '' she said.
'' Yeah okay mum, I will, '' I lied.
'' Okay now go to sleep, '' she said, getting up off my bed.
'' Oh yeah, mum, before you go... can I sleep at my friend's house this weekend? He wants me over for both Friday and Saturday night..please? '' I asked innocently, even putting on puppy dog eyes. She paused for a second.
'' Who is this friend anyway? He want's you round at his place a lot. Why don't you ask him over here instead? ''
Oh shit.
'' U-um well he's already arranged it with his parents that he's having me at his place. His parents are fine with it, '' I said quickly.
'' Oh. Okay, I still want to meet him sometime. What's his name? ''
'' Uh.. J-Josh..'' I said, trying to think up a name quickly.
'' Oh, '' my mum smiled, '' okay. You can go...do you need picking up on Sunday? ''
'' N-no it's okay he's bringing me back, '' I said, '' can I go to sleep please I'm tired.''
I hoped she'd just leave and stop asking me questions.
'' Alright Frank you get some rest, night, '' she said before climbing down the ladder and closing my door.
I sighed happily, glad she let me go, before settling down into my covers and closing my eyes, falling asleep in less than two minutes.
